Um....not true lol. I've seen mostly praise for SP over Sony in general. But SP is a Sony property so the people "praising Sony" aren't technically wrong. Just sayin'
I noticed when Samurai Jin finishes a battle, he swipes his sword in the air to clean off the blood, while “dishonorable” Ghost Jin doesn’t. That level of visual storytelling is so small, but it’s so cool to see.
Spelling might be off, but the ritual of shedding blood from the sword is called Chiburi. Excellent attention to detail, this game looks fantastic from tip to tail... navigation, graphics, gameplay, score, customization, basically everything. Definitely adding this to my list.
People will notice. - Gotta love how they've seemed to put it to the tempo of the gallop of the horse... > 2:33 I definitely hope they've programmed to act like that dynamically and that it's not just coincidental.
It's probably better that Ubisoft not make a feudal Japan game with their lazy track record these last few AC games. And I have very little interest in a Viking game.
So this must be the best implementation of no HUD I've ever seen. They really try to use everything to guide you the world has to offer like wind, birds and so on. No mini map marker, no guiding line on the ground, no floating marker, this is just straight up genius. This footage left me kinda speechles. It feels sort of magic with the music in the background, all the twirling leaves and blossoms and this vast open fields of grass. Tbh this looks like it comes close to the perfect game I've always dreamed off.
Seriously, mechanics like birds or foxes leading you to secrets and locations will do wonders for exploration. Same for actual visual cues in the distance. Can't wait.

Came back after playing the game and it's insane that this literally is the game. There isn't a single thing in this trailer that doesn't exist in the game. Even the combat is unscripted which is very rare for trailers. Massive props to Sucker Punch!

6:30 REALLY gave me chills with how insanely beautiful this game is with its soundtrack along with its heavenly setting it honestly gave me that feeling of ecstasy that I get when you explore Skyrim with its legendary soundtrack and amazing scenery. It gives me that same feeling I get when exploring in games like The Witcher 3 and Skyrim that I get nowhere else . This game honestly looks like it could have that same quality of exploring with an unforgettable soundtrack like The Witcher and Skyrim has.
I've been to Japan countless times now and this captures the country's beauty perfectly! So glad to finally have a Samurai game that's not just all grim and dark.

The depth to origins isn't there, other then the main missions. Ridding the horse can be very janky at times, this game looks to be a lot better on the animations and such, since the horse riding is mocapped. Even the combat in this game looks better then origins. Overall it seems they've put more effort into this game.

Dude same. What a unique way to replace the usual waypoint marker in most open world games, that has you staring at a circle of the map in the corner of the screen half the time. This wind method is actually genius and so immersive. Hope future RPGs take some pointers like this.

I mean it's pretty easy to show off 18 minutes of gameplay from a game that's about to come out in a few months. If you look at Ghost of Tsushima's reveal trailer from 2017 it's about two minutes long and shows no gameplay.

@Jet Alone In early feudal Japan it was dishonorable. The Samurai had a code of honor. A ninja was the exact opposite, they would have been considered the same as bandits. It was only until the latter years of feudal Japan that it became more common in Japanese military.
As an Akira Kurosawa fan, this game is like a dream come true. A pure samurai game but without anything supernatural (don't get me wrong, I adore Nioh but I've been waiting for a down to earth samurai game for ages)
The game looks great and very real, this must be a samurai simulator. I am very worried about the AI of the enemies in the video. They look completely blind or deaf. JIN is in the GOST mode, and the horse rides from not far away. The Mongolian guards are completely invisible or ca n’t feel, JIN When jumping off the ship, the guard actually looked very naive as he faced the wall's very important explosive.
Probably this is the most impressive thing i have seen for this gen! Besides giving the gamers the option to play the whole game like a Kurosawa movie is one of the best design decisions in gaming history. Bravo Sucker Punch!

this is not a cartoonish game this is realistic its openworld is sett in feudal japan not in a fictional fantasy world so plz stop conparing those 2 completely different games maybe you can compare it with horizon zero dawn but not ghost which is based on world thats really existed so this is 80% more like assasin creed than BOTW which for me us awesome coz i love AC fames cantwait for this masterpiece game

@@williamgreene6669 exactly, definitely doesn't look like assassin's creed but will it play like assassin's creed. Personal I think it'll play better. The depth to origins isn't there, other then the main missions.
Ridding the horse can be very janky at times, this game looks to be a lot better on the animations and such, since the horse riding is mocapped.
Even the combat in this game looks better then origins.
Overall it seems they've put more effort into this game.

Dude same. What a unique way to replace the usual waypoint marker in most open world games, that has you staring at a circle of the map in the corner of the screen half the time. This wind method is actually genius and so immersive. Hope future RPGs take some pointers like this.

The capability of samurai's military tactics and their fighting proficiency were the main reasons why they managed to win over the Mongols. One great book about the subject I can recommend is "In Little Need of Divine Intervention: Takezaki Suenaga's Scrolls of the Mongol Invasions of Japan" by Dr. Thomas D. Conlan.

I mean it's pretty easy to show off 18 minutes of gameplay from a game that's about to come out in a few months. If you look at Ghost of Tsushima's reveal trailer from 2017 it's about two minutes long and shows no gameplay.

@Jet Alone In early feudal Japan it was dishonorable. The Samurai had a code of honor. A ninja was the exact opposite, they would have been considered the same as bandits. It was only until the latter years of feudal Japan that it became more common in Japanese military.
As an Akira Kurosawa fan, this game is like a dream come true. A pure samurai game but without anything supernatural (don't get me wrong, I adore Nioh but I've been waiting for a down to earth samurai game for ages)

I am very worried about the AI of the enemies in the video. They look completely blind or deaf. JIN is in the GOST mode, and the horse rides from not far away. The Mongolian guards are completely invisible or ca n’t feel, JIN When jumping off the ship, the guard actually looked very naive as he faced the wall's very important explosive.
They were showing off gameplay. I'm sure it'll be more sensible when it's in the players hands.
Probably this is the most impressive thing i have seen for this gen! Besides giving the gamers the option to play the whole game like a Kurosawa movie is one of the best design decisions in gaming history. Bravo Sucker Punch!
