@MUFC It takes mankind tens of thousands of years of evolution to develop dexterity and use of arms, hands and fingers. And we are going to succumb to the simplest concept of a game and devolve.
the actor playing Jimmy said that he really wanted to make all of the shots, especially the last one...but, when he missed the last one, the director said that was a "sign" to leave it in...
The scene was not done in one take. The actor does sink four in a row and then five in a row in two running shots, which is pretty good, but there are numerous cuts because he did *not* make all these shots in a row.
This is my favorite scene in that classic sports movie. More motivational than the locker room pep talks. Thanks for posting.
sometimes, there is nothing more motivating than for someone to tell you, "I, we, the team do NOT need you..."
Best scene in the movie. "I don't care if you play on the team or not" then a miss
He makes all the shots except the last one. Definitely some symbolism there.
@MUFC 😂😂😂

@MUFC soccer sucks though
Great scene from a great movie.
Best, most meaningful scene in the movie, in my humble opinion.

There're mistakes in my playing, but it doesn't matter. I'll always leavenin the mistakes. - Jimmy Page.
It's said this scene was done in one take. Chitwood made all those shots in row. Except for the last one..lol
Which ends up being great symbolism because it shows that the coach actually got through to him.
What do u mean they literally cut at 0:25

@@phimseto good point
@@brodygalloway9807 oh so you know more than the director who is actually there? 😂 Do some research and watch some interviews, you nut
Only shot he misses the whole movie.
Actually, in the movie, about 7 minutes in when he's shooting in the gym when Coach is being toured around the school, he misses one there.
"Shoot 'til you miss"
He did not play hs basketball in real life. Great shooters in the state of Indiana.
