Thank you, that’s brilliant to hear! I don’t think it will be long before more people realise how good Albania is. The further south we go, it gets better and better 😃
Ho my goodness that hot spring bath looks so inviting hopefully one day I will will be able to experience the delight of a pure natural soak at one with nature 👍👍👍
Thank you again for the comment ❤️ You should definitely put the thermal baths on your bucket list! This place really has to be experienced in person. Take care x

That city with all the windows looked great and the thermal baths were amazing. Definitely put Albania on our travel plans for next year. You’re all quickly becoming our fave vloggers on you tube with all the wonderful places you’re showing us that others haven’t been to. Well done guys xx
Thank you very much Lesley, really appreciate it 😃 Yes I’d definitely put Albania on your travel list, we can’t believe how much we’re enjoying it. We wasn’t sure what to expect at first but it’s been a really nice surprise. Thank you xx
Actually, Berat is not called " the city of the thousand windows". It is a mistake that Albanians do it all the time and it gets wrong on translation. Berat is called " the city of windows on top of each other", but in Albanian the words " nje mbi nje" ( on top of each other), it sounds very similar to " njemije e nje" ( one thousand and one). It is a mistake that a few Albanians mention it from time to time to clear things up, but I get very angry with our Ministry of Tourism that doesn't bother at all to correct this mistake in papers. It's not your fault guys for calling it like that, it is our fault. The same way happens to our " Accursed Mountains" in the Alps. That is not their real name. The mountains are called " Bjeshket e Nemuna" and not " Bjeshket e Namuna". Only the letter " a" instead of " e" it makes e big difference, it makes a whole other word and meaning. " Bjeshket e Nemuna" are translated as " Named Mountains"( it makes sense in Albanian),, but " Accursed Mountains" it sounds more interesting and makes it more mythic to tourists, so nobody is bothered to change these mistakes. If you really want to know the names of places, you should ask the locals. They are the only ones who really know the original names and places. I mentioned this only for educational purposes..... Anyway, enjoy your trips to Albania!
@@liljanasufaj4130 Thank you very much for the explanation, we have spoke to some locals since we posted the video that also explained the same thing. You are right, speaking to the locals is definitely the best way for information
Great video as always, drone shots are amazing😊 We have been in Albania for the last two weeks and slowly following you in your footsteps, working our way down through the country. We were in Berat two days ago! Didn't make the castle though, well done for walking up there!! We love Albania also, really friendly people😍
Really glad you’re enjoying it Sally 😃 The castle wasn’t easy, I think you made a wise decision 😅 Berat itself is amazing enough. Wait until you get to the thermal baths, you won’t want to leave 🤩
Thank you for the explanation Tony. Before we visited Berat we got our information from Google so it might not be 100% correct. After speaking to the local Albanian people, we now realise it’s actually “windows on top of each other” I think it comes down to different translations. Either way, it is a beautiful place. Thank you for the info 😃
Nice one you lot. You had some beautiful weather on your side. Love the drone footage. We never visited the thermal baths there because it was snowy when we were there but we did enjoy Berat. Those mountain views over the back of the town were incredible too. Safe travels and all the best to you all! I can't help but think of the memories you are building for the little ones! 😍👍

@@KevintheCamper 49!!????? I think you did a mistake there. The highest Albania has ever experienced is 43 for as far as I know. Yes, the temperatures now are soaring over 35 which now its called almost normal for July and August, while 20 years ago they used to be around 32-33 degree the highest.
Btw a lot of Albanians get this wrong too, Berat is the city of one window on top of another window(so windows on top of eachother) , not one thousand windows since it's very similar to prounce those two words in Albanian . Enjoy your stay!
