I know a guy who used to work with Simu Liu on an older show. He said once the guy started getting popular he treated his coworkers kindly. I like people like that.
this was a great interview. I had mixed perceptions on his public image but I think he did a great job here telling his story and redefining himself. I respect him so much right now.
I didn't expect much going into these, but have become a big fan. It always feels like a super-relaxed, warm hang-out with friends. I want to be in that room.
Woody and Ted have a unique dynamic. They are very different and compliment each other very well. Might've been a reason they were cast together in Cheers as well.
I remember the days when Simu not only read everything about him on the internet, he actually interacted too, which was really fun. It was great to see him post on Subtle Asian Traits, lol. I hope he knows that the support is still out there and he should do whatever he needs to do to Shake Off the haters.
Just watched Shang Chi last night... I didnt really have much interest in seeing it when it came out but it was better than I expected... because it really didnt have much to do with the MCU. Had it just been a standalone martial arts film with a mythological backdrop I would have been more likely to see it. 🤷♂️ He was really good in it!
The hand to hand choreography was so good. The director is doing the live action Naruto and the fight scenes in Shang-Chi is what keeps me optimistic about it.
@@thorkagemob1297 Very nice choreo, fun training montages, good tension when it needed it... and aside from a few obvious and cheeky video game references, it didnt seem to suffer from the video game cut sequence cinematography that soo many of these movies have fallen into.
Just rewatched season 5, you should get john Cleese on, he had a cameo episode that season. Also, it occurred to me and my lady that George Wendt is like 1980s Jonah hill lol
im torn about Simu. I loved him in Kims convenience. I was rooting for him until I heard he deleted tweets that were critical of mark Wahlberg for beating up an asian guy in Boston back in the day, because he was about to do a movie with him. And then tried to claim that deleting these tweets and putting mark's crime under the rug was actually for the better of the asian American community and in some ways became a hero to many for doing so. that was a weak and bitch move to me which was hard for me to respect. I also definitely think some self hate is a factor on my part...so strange how we want to take down our own sometimes. but with that being said I have a crush on JOHN CHO
Im sure mark wasnt targeting asians...he prob in so many fights...thats whyu dont have that many kids and such...prob disfunction in that family...and think father not around

This is a perfect example of how fame opens doors for you, even when they should remain closed lol. Woody and Ted are so boring and unfunny to listen to. The fact that they have a podcast at all is par for the course in Hollyweird. They sound like two NPR hosts who bring nothing to their interviews 😴

I heard the opposite. Someone I know also met him, and apparently he was not very nice.

Simu is a great guy and his story is great too. Being from his neck of the woods makes me proud.
Uploading these in video form is a complete win team! Well played
Team CoCo has some rare ore in the Duo of of Ted & Woody... Legitimately the best interview in the business today, hands down 👍
😂

as one of the few chinese canadians that made it to the big leagues, simu is an inspiration to me
Simu is such an inspiration .
So real. I could hear him talk all day.
jesus this is heartfelt
This was beautiful!😭✨❤️✨🫶🏽
He is actually well spoken. I watched Shangchi and I still remember the bus fight.
Really enjoyed Kim's. That story was my life in a nutshell. Happy for Simu's success!!!
Cool episode. Seems like a nice, down to earth guy.
Kims Convenience...such an awesome show
Simu was a scream on SNL, he’s hysterical
I came here for the fake laugh at 34:39 and it didn't disappoint 😂
I love this interview.
I *_loved_* Kim's Convenience. Glad to hear Simu has been doing well since then!
Thank You. I truly enjoy this interview: The Canadian oozes out of S. L. 🍁
Thank you❤🎉
Ted's giggle at Woody's, back when I wasn't chewing enough retort is gold 😅
making Canada proud. Humble, intelligent, thoughtful.

I recommended it to a friend because it stood alone. He came back asking who Wong was
@@MoramothHauntz Yeah, one random MCU character and thankfully he had nothing to do with the plot.

I WANT SHANG-CHI 2!!!!!!!✌🏻❤️🙏🏻......Isn't this one of Mr Ballen stories?
. a nice interview seemingly endless integrity .
Don't forget your stint as a Martian Marine who gets blow'd up in The Expanse!
I'm sure it has happened many times before but this is the first time I've seen Ted Danson with Woody since Cheers.
Nice guys rulez!! 😂
Simu is so cute

Simu liu and Woody harrelson should do a movie together. It would be awesome
They are talking about it in the first 5-10 mins...
They did. Coming soon
Bruh......
Nice
Oh how I wish I was in that submarine!!!😂
Could you guys, if possible invite Dan Hedaya who played Carla`s ex husband, Nick Tortelli to the show. What a funny guest star he was.

..ok
He hasn't been good in anything since Kim's Convience tbh. They keep putting him in these serious roles and he's just not that type of actor.
Asians turning on Asians is pretty much the norm. Speaking from experience.
