Currently mounting 5.25 Tusk on the K10 HT. I'm going to run it in the dark tonight using head lamps before the rain starts. I could have a problem. lol
What a long journey Daphne has been on from trx4 sport to the WMD she is now, nice to see all your hard work paying off. As always Mr Da Vinci thank you.
I have the CNC version of those axles and I love how tight the gears are and how smooth the turning is. The more you use them the more you'll like them. Great show again and thank you.
No what would be amazingly appreciated if you started a high trail episode making the trx4 hightrail the best crawler it can be. Would be awesome and appreciated and amazingly awesomeness 🎉
I was in southern Washington in 1998-99 and it rained everyday from October to April… 140 some days in a row. I was just out of high school working for an excavation contractor, hated my life but money was awesome.
Desert foothills are tough to flood. All that water flows down through paved paradise and ends up in LA or SD and just wrecks the place. We got it pretty easy considering. Just the same, 7" of rain in 3 days is a lot for a place that gets ~15" a year.
@@CrawlerCanyon yessir, it was weird to see those concrete flood channels LA has actually full of water on the news. A testament to your course building that the infill didn't wash away!
You said something about making a adapter plate for the 2 speed. I have no experience but with your knowledge and workshop...see where I'm going with this? I bet there's members that will put there 2 cents in also. Just a thought.
Kingpin panhard is still working on Yoda. I think making the panhard longer reduces axle swing. That's got to reduce bump steer some. When the panhard is short, having an equal length/parallel drag link seems more important.
That's true, but this is like somewhere in between-- the outside tire is still hitting the travel stop, it just allows the inside tire to turn sharper. The TRX-4 axle is not renowned for having the best steering angle, and this actually felt pretty good. I'm only asking for dig because I'm asking for dig.
It looks like the inserts are over compressing with the added weight, more squish in the gates than i would like in my rig, maybe causing the extra front lift and early rollout in gates gr8 channel thanks for your hard work
This might be the first time Canyon Customs have ever been accused of overcompressing-- she's running softs in the front and mediums in the rear (aka double buns) which everyone else accuses of lacking compliance. Based on conditions, I don't know if I'd make any changes yet. I want to see her on dry rocks first.
The covers are definitely axle-specific. The std. and OD gears fit fine, but the big UD gear definitely rubs. Not the first time I've experienced this with diff covers on Traxxas axles.
Yes sir...will be buying 3 sets of these now...broke the Vitavon front axle because of the lower C hub. They have no replacement part for it and their customer service doesnt respond. Thank you for this, ive been looking for a good axle. It looks like the front comes complete..did you have to build the rear?
I have a question! I have a fusion 2in1 1800 kv. In reverse it surges. But in forward, it works just fine. Any idea what I did wrong or what could be wrong?
Blind guess: the motor has been calibrated "in reverse," so forward is now reverse and vice-versa. Try reversing motor rotation with the program card and recalibrating. That's my first though. My second is that something is either binding or slipping in reverse and is fine in forward. Daphne's motor was rubbing her front driveshaft in reverse, but was 100% fine going forward. So check the mechanicals, then try the program card. Sight unseen, I think I did okay on this one.
You can get the chassis and axles from AliExpress. I would recommend Jenny's RC for the stock axles (still cheaper than buying the individual parts to donate to the GRC G2s,) gearbox, and shocks. Body is JConcepts, tires are RC4WD, most of the inner parts are STRC. You'll still need a bunch of odds and ends, but you'll be mostly there.
Thank you! The as far as the transmission and transmission skid I need to get the TRX4 or would you recommend something different? I know The links will mount to it and I want a good suspension geometry.
@@BornInTheDarkness-7 she's running the Bowhouse LCG skid. It seems to help at least a little. OH, you can also (usually) get a complete link kit on Jenny's as well, for cheap.
Well, you'll never know for sure-- any search for "GRC," regardless of modifiers, brings back Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance. The tab one one of the knuckle sets nonetheless had an address in Germany.

Wow, lovely looking axles and I have discovered that they make them for the trx6 😊
I do love Daphne’s stinger with her cab/grille design 👌👌

I've got a set of Ground Hawg's on my VS-410. Great tires, my opinion
Glad you haven't sustained any damage from the weather mate.
First year i lived in Wa it rained for ninety days, you have my sympathies!

Nice looking axles but I just don’t think I would have the skills to hook all that up right like you have. But they are sweet

longer panhard makes the arc that the axle travels in flatter. Close to parallel yes, length equal or longer panhard no issues. I run longer panhard
more total steering angle will be more useful over Ackerman angle on a crawler. that is heavy heavy for a single axle wow. look great and fun test

Boy she’s a looker nice rig.
So would a different gift cover work that would have better clearances or are those diff covers specific to those housings?

You have to build both, no internals are included. One of the pics in the listing is what we would generally classify as "misleading."
Is the steering angle the same as with just the GRC G2 knuckles? I would think it wouldn't be different..

so it ended up being a abs feature on the remote. It was turned on and making it surge. thank you for your help.

What transmission are you using?
Liked, commented and shared 👍😁👍
GRC is german..?? I highly doubt that.😎😁 Anyway, very nice set for those axle housing on asiatees at the moment😉

@@CrawlerCanyon I actually found the company...they are in Shenzhen /China Yihang Industrial Co. Ltd. .... what a surprise 😁
Yihang Industrial makes resin and ceramic containers.
@@CrawlerCanyon well ...thats what is recorded as manufacturer on Alibaba/Aliex 😇
