I would watch a Boulet advice show, talk about Agony Aunts, am I right! (Also, Shannon and the Clams are SO GOOD! When they mentioned them I went YEAH out loud)

Delta you said what needs to be said. People are NOT doing Halloween the way they used to. Kids hardly trick or treat anymore. This is a really big issue to me, I truly believe Halloween needs a revival, and I'm so disappointed every year, it just seems to get worse. My daughter is 7 and we have yet to have an actual door to door trick or treating experience. No homes are decorated and nobody is passing out candy. It's tragic. Something needs to be done, like I'm talking national address level. The country needs you on a podium broadcast to every screen telling people to get with the program again!!
I'm curious what part of the country you live in? I know multiple people in my area who got tons of trick or treaters this year, and most people who own a house do some sort of Halloween decoration. So I do think it's alive and well in some places. But I've heard that it's pretty grim (not in a fun spooky Halloween way lol) out in the rural areas.
@@shawnalynn5198 That's so good! I'm actually very happy to report that we did have a successful trick or treat this year! We live in LA county, California. Not too many homes decorated but the ones that did had candy, and even some that had no decorations passed candy. Our neighborhood is a safe one with a large park and an elementary school right smack in the middle of it, two schools actually. So i thought the turnout would be bigger, but it was still something! I saw some people saying that they think trick or treaters need to go knock on each house, decorations or not. I saw others say that people who pass candy need to be outside to show that they're there. now this has me thinking there should be a national trick or treat etiquette, or SOP for those that pass candy. admittedly if i don see decorations we wont knock. though it's not a huge trick or treat blowout like i experienced when i was a kid, it was more than what we got in previous years. so i think if this is an indicator of halloweens to come, we might get back to that coveted 90s/2000s level of halloween love. i'm so happy to hear that you guys had a great turnout!

I have such an eclectic wardrobe that I can put together about a dozen costumes by pulling from my own closet. Add the right accessories and POOF! A floor length black hooded cape I made back in 1973 increases my options. I got to dress in drag once. I had so much fun putting my look together.
I LOVE the Boulet Brothers. I have since I first saw them on Hey Queen or Welcome to my Face with James St. James. They’re awesome! Delta I hope you do something with Dragula. The thing I love about horror characters and villains is they’re created. They’ve been treated horribly for ever and we’ve created their behavior in some way. It’s such a truth we always refuse to take responsibility for.
Original Blo-mold Halloween decorations are amazing! My mom refused to have candle-lit Jack-o’Lanterns in the windows so I had every Blo-Mold (plastic molded) Halloween decoration in existence, one per window. I just found a few on Ebay selling for up to $250. each, (they were like 3.59 max back then.)
