Serious question- for every race they cut, do the riders get paid less? All the pay outs cut right, no just the loss of theoretical win money. Less work = less money, right? If they take a proportional pay cut for the amount of races cut out, I support that. In America you’re always welcome to work less, but you don’t get paid for not working. But if they want to get paid the same, for working less? And the rationale is it’s too hard of work, you normies just don’t understand. Then I’m offended! Get out of here with that nonsense. A LOT OF HARD WORKING BLUE COLLER AMERICANS KNOW WHAT REAL HARD HORK IS. Providing for families on construct jobs. working six days a week simi regularly, if not all the time. practically speaking many will basically never retire but work their whole life. You got this rich guy telling you about how hard it is to have a dream job of racing dirt bikes. Every one on stage is a millionaire… please go on strike if that’s your attitude, there is a very long line of guys who would love to replace you. The racing will still be good with out you.
Do you risk your life 3-4 times a week for 44 weeks out the year working your blue collar job? This may be a dream job but it’s way more work than just twisting a throttle. In this sport you are as good as your last race which translates to pay cuts when a race series runs you so ragged that you get injured and can’t compete for six months out of the year. Also in America you can either work an hourly job and not get paid when you don’t work or you get paid based on the value you create. This millionaire gets pennies from the promoter he provides tens of millions of dollars of value for. Why should a worker get paid less money because his job looks cooler than Joe blow swinging a hammer?
@@cameroncollier8062 answer- Because the market that you creat this value in is competitive. You want to take yourself out of the game, good bye. Someone else will take your place. Why special rules for them, as if they don’t have people wanting to replace them? Also a lot of construction work involves high risk daily, were extreme injury or death can and does happen. They want the admiration and respect from taking all that risk, then they can’t be victims and the same time too… Trust me there is no shortage of men who would happily risk their lives for that kind of money. Your last question- “why should a worker get paid less money than Joe blow swinging a hammer?” - shows you utter disrespect for real working class people and how ignorant you are of the average blue collar workers life. Keep defending the arrogance of the people complaining about living the dream life. Who have made more money in their young life than most Americans make in their whole life. You don’t understand the vast chasm that exist in life experience that exists, they don’t get to complain. Go ahead strike, take yourself out of the race. Lose the series, lose a lot of other money. All I care about is that the race goes on. Their rockstars, I don’t have a problem with that. Until they start complaining, telling us that we don’t know what hard woke is and their really victims. Psh, get out of here with that nonsense. They should stop with this none sense and just go back to living their sweet life and be grateful for it!
@@cameroncollier8062 I ride a dirtbike too bro, that argument doesn’t work on me. Seriously? Those poor victims, they have to ride dirtbikes 3-4 times a week. And between that they get paid to work out! Oh the horror! It’s a dream job, there is no but. They should only express gratitude for how exceptionally fortunate they are and lose any pretense of lecturing working class people about hard work. You should also learn some respect for working class people. It would do you well. We are not beneath you.
Like Sexton said the top riders need to hold out or start a Riders Union separate from Ama or Mx sports!!! Riders need to be getting paid not paying 17 entry fee's and cost to get to each round while putting their life and long term health at risk for little reward
Great talking about the number of races. It’s really going to take the riders ro stand up and unite. There isn’t a rider union now let alone ever a rider representative. They get run over like steam rollers by MX Sports and Feld. They are making pennies for top athletes. Look at Praters salary in comparison to the purse paid out for the best in the sport. Then ask yourself what’s going on.
The crowd noise would be impressive if the stands weren't 50% empty. The riders love the money available for the playoff rounds, but the spectators not so much.
The more races means more airtime for big brands like monster and Yamaha etc.. to promote their product . They won’t allow less races . As a matter a fact they want more races this will never happen unless like he said all 10 top guys step down and that won’t happen cause people want to feed there families
Lol he tried to push the questions but chase and Eli had some responses. I’m sure Jayce got a talking too and or he’s not gonna get a media pass again. Also I feel the moderator will also get a talking to lol
He's been here for months and here to stay. He's asking interesting questions instead of the boring "how was your race?" or "Are you happy to have won the race?"
they shoudl get rid of 3 or 4 sx rounds cause lets face it, each weekend its a different track but really the same thing every weekend, double triple triple, finish line, double through the whoops. literally every sx race is pretty much the same shit. then they should add back a outdoor national that they took away. cause outdoor is all around better and i believe it shows who the better riders are more then sx. also the tracks are way more challenging and the riders have to have better racecraft and find better lines more then they do in sx
I think with Deegan, he almost has a Trump issue. They're both the best, but just say things to piss people off haha. If Deegan would have just answered something like " I don't care what people say, I'm just here to win, because that's what we're all here to do" would smooth people out. Trust me I get it. I love both of them, just sometimes they say more than they need and could get more followers if they minimized it
I call this BS, and also the immature way they did it. “It’s stupid, it’s dumb”. Come on guys 🤦♂️ and like others say, it’s easy to sit there when you already at the top, and not racing for paychecks anymore. But either way look at the 250ts they race less a races a year but still have the same amount of injuries and complain about getting tired. And when it’s offseason the most of the main guys still sign up for off season races like Paris and AUX 🤷♂️ don’t here complains then 🤷♂️ And like others mention, this is what professional sports are nowadays, look at NBA,NHL, EPL + Champions League how manny games the players have to show up to and preform. I know it’s not the same because they don’t “risk their life’s” but still. So I guess the SMX will be long gone in a couple of years or with much smaller money and then they will start complain about its no money in the sport,
When Sexton says he wants a shorter season and all the guys to be there at the end. Does he realize that means he would have 2 less championships for certain and honestly probably 3 less.
The riders need some representation to negotiate a contract!.riders should be able to sell their own merch and prize money needs to be higher to afford privateers to compete in a full season
Simple... go back to the Gran National format. Whoever stayed in it for both series and accumulated the most points.. wins the million.. I was so excited when I heard they were "combining the series" then they lay this dog shit on us...
These gnarly athletes clearly don't like the current format and need change. They need true representation and support instead of lining the pockets of the networks and organizations. They need the support of the industry to protect them to keep this changing sport amazing. Maybe a panel of MX and SX elders and champions to represent them and demand support? The gnarly dudes need to be heard. The sport is changing, bikes are changing.
Nobody forced these guys to sign super and motorcross contracts.. and they sure werent forced to race in smx. They could just ride super or motor cross if they wanted to go privateer, lol #Crybabies

lets do like they do 250 on supercross but now for 450 and 250 supercross and motocross so you give rider a break but the viewer get to have races
There job is to race. So they race a little more than half a year making lots of money
All the riders, staff, teams: “please, less races”
Org: “ok. We do more races.”
When Davey was asked why there are no races in TX or the southeast during the MX season, he said they can't sell enough tickets because fans won't sit in the sun on 105 degree days. He didn't say a word about the guys trying to race in the heat. Don't think for a second they give AF about the riders.
The comparison to motogp isn't real good seeing they have 21 gp's and 21 sprint races a year now along with friday practices all while travelling around the world.
Now Levi has a new tattoo
Jett's eyebrows were perfectly manicured...
With a long off seasons brings more hype this bringing more $
12 sx round 12 motocross round and 3 smx rounds, 1 of the size rounds be a week long so amatures can ride/race during the week 3 moto format all done by Thursday. Friday sat Sunday pros and futures
Agree with this, but 3 or 4 e/w shootouts or just make the 250s one full sx season combined
GREAT, POINTED, SPECIFIC QUESTIONS!!!! THANK YOU!!!! The SPORT needs to GROW!
Jett wore him out. Eli is bad ass but Jett wore him out and Eli for whatever reason didn't pick up in Jett jumping the sand section. I can't imagine he didn't notice it, I think he just got wore out.
Hitting all the Nails Jase! This was a cool watch 🤘 the tides are shifting and FELD/AMA gotta listen up and make some changes!
@@cameroncollier8062 Yeah, I do, for 50 weeks out of the year for the last 40 years.
14 sx
8 Mx
4 smx
26 race season and done.
Have a double points sx and Mx race at one of the events
Hell naw 8mx? Mx should have more and less SX. My is king, 12 mx min, 14SX and smx 3 max
Like Sexton said the top riders need to hold out or start a Riders Union separate from Ama or Mx sports!!! Riders need to be getting paid not paying 17 entry fee's and cost to get to each round while putting their life and long term health at risk for little reward
SX was only 15 rounds in 1996
Teams n riders to get a bigger cut of the pie rather than one slice. N atlest one weekend off between all races.
What if they have a east west 450 as well then this smx will determine the best of both worlds
Soupermotocross yay
Great talking about the number of races. It’s really going to take the riders ro stand up and unite. There isn’t a rider union now let alone ever a rider representative. They get run over like steam rollers by MX Sports and Feld. They are making pennies for top athletes. Look at Praters salary in comparison to the purse paid out for the best in the sport. Then ask yourself what’s going on.
The crowd noise would be impressive if the stands weren't 50% empty. The riders love the money available for the playoff rounds, but the spectators not so much.
Make sense
Herlings has done more races than the USA racers?
Ktm never mentioned that!
MXGP AND British MX Championship combined still don't add up to the US schedule. 31 races is too many.
@@OtisFlinthe’s also been hurt more than any other us rider too.
Agreed, newer viewer to the sport and I enjoy outdoors a hell of a lot more.
I’ve been saying it for years… alligator pits. Now that would be entertaining.
Why not have a season of 12 superx 12 motox and 4 playoff rounds each week is either superx or motox
Them ju jitsu ears baby
So I guess the SMX will be long gone in a couple of years or with much smaller money and then they will start complain about its no money in the sport,
Tomac is definitely worth fellating with such praise 😮😅
When Sexton says he wants a shorter season and all the guys to be there at the end. Does he realize that means he would have 2 less championships for certain and honestly probably 3 less.
The riders need some representation to negotiate a contract!.riders should be able to sell their own merch and prize money needs to be higher to afford privateers to compete in a full season
Enjoy covering Arenacross from here on out 🤣🤣🤣
10sx 10 mx round 5 smx rounds.
Simple... go back to the Gran National format.
AC9 would make a great representative.
Better be careful mate ! If you keep asking the questions we all want they may just take your press pass!
Nobody forced these guys to sign super and motorcross contracts.. and they sure werent forced to race in smx. They could just ride super or motor cross if they wanted to go privateer, lol #Crybabies
Make futures more of a thing so the 450s can get a weekend off now and then
