I think that people enjoy being there because it either means returning to the familiar, or going someplace new. Basically, the final result is more important than how you get there, which I think is sad. Instant gratification, sort of. We should return to the ways of horse and buggy, instead of moving towards transporters and shiznit (as the kids say).
