Spot Lock with the Minn Kota and MotorGuide has changed the fishing experience.... Still VERY expensive to Buy and Install in my opinion... BUT definitely awesome. Caught a NASA Launch too!! That is a Dinner and a Show!

Hey mate, your waterways are incredible. Wife and I spent four days living aboard our boat last week on the Gippsland Lakes. We had an awesome time, no need for a gennie, lived off one house battery and didn’t need to switch over to the start battery. At night all we had running was the fridge, it was so relaxing and great to be out of lockdown 🎣🎣🍺🍺🍺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I know the feeling Captain we were like that for a couple of months on lockdown and it was very stressful I'm glad that you're able to go out and enjoy with the wife and thank you for watching and navigate safe captain

I've been over that bridge, recognized the Indian River and that marina. Had Brother in law who lived in Titusville for several years. Enjoyed visiting there in December several times. Enjoyed the Indian River produce fresh squeezed OJ.

Hi Captain what a nice space shuttle lunch it reminded me when i was in FIT studying back in 1993 also witnessed space shuttle lunch from the class it was spectacular thing to watch. Captain you got to watch out for those speeding boaters out there. i recommend to install rubber sheets under the generator to reduce sound and vibration in the boats hull. also not to forget and that's from my long fishing experience any place you catch cat fish don bother your self its not good place to fish you need to look for other place with rocky bottom . stay and navigate safe.

I would love to do that but I rather do that on the Bahamas where is more enjoyable and I can eat lobster everyday I could do that in the future Captain the most I have to stay on the boat has been four nights at the Bahamas and ate fish and lobster everyday that's more enjoyable but I'm waiting for Bahamas to open soon then I'll be able to do something like that Captain thanks for the great idea👍👍

I fish here to but never did any shrimping. The bait store i stopped at said there's not a lot of tide change there so not much current.
I shrimp a lot in oak hill area. But I think its a bit early for shrimp to be running hard.
I bought underwater lights last year to go shrimping but never made it so hopefully this year will be the one.

great info cap. about the tide and can you please keep me updated if you happen to know wen the shrimp are running i will appreciate it , i done shrimping in the mosquito lagoon and done great one day i did 5 gallons that was my best day. and in bad days 1 to 2 gallons , missed those days cap.

My son and I were fishing on the other side of that bridge a couple of weeks ago. We mostly fish between Homosassa and Yankeetown, but we like to run over to the ICW and the Lagoon a few times a year. Hope to see you one day! Tight lines!!!

Hey @onthereef you are in my area now. lol We finally purchased a boat. Tahoe T16 . We were thinking about hitting Parish Island this weekend too.(or New Smyrna options are endless now) Still learning but its fun being out there. Might not be able to make it to Bimini but we can def enjoy the waters of Florida. Me and some buddies were fishing right under the train tracks a few weeks ago on his boat. lol

What I like about your fishing trips is you don’t doctor them up. Many trips you don’t catch “any” fish at all which is what its like for the rest of us too in the real world. If it were that easy to catch them in this sport . . . it would be called : Let’s go CATCHING, instead of Let’s go FISHING... :o)

I’m from Jacksonville and we always shrimp along the shorelines. Also use cast nets and bait them with shrimp meal. If you’re interested in more information just let me know. Happy to provide anything that will help you. 👍

not meaning to disrespect you, but this is the second video I've watched of yours that you have stated that NASA is launching the "shuttle". 10yrs ago, NASA launched the last Space shuttle mission. NASA no longer operates the Space Shuttle. They do still launch rockets into space but only uncrewed rockets. All that being said, so far your videos are entertaining and well done.

Do cash shrimps all you have to do is wait and put your lights out and they'll float up on the water and you scooped him up with a net but it looks like they will not running this night Captain but next time I'll give it another try.

Hi I believe if you put a bout on your anchor line you would feel more comfortable
This area is very tricky because a lot of people get their anchors stuck there's a lot of debris in this corner that's why using the Minn Kota by itself is the best way to stay here safe but thanks for the great suggestion captain👍👍⚓

So does your generator run the Air Conditioner or batteries? Seemed like I didn’t see it on the gunnel after you cleaned up but then turned on the AC.
Just curious. The boat I ordered has a generator and was wondering how all that worked. Do you run the generator all night? How long does the fuel last?
yes i run the ac with my generator and at the same time charging the fridge batteries and trolling motor and 1 gallon of fuel will last me about 6 to 8 hrs run time at 40% load
but is your new boat onboard Generator because if it is those are powerful and very silent because is in the engine compartment, congrats on your new boat cap.

I do have to ask why you wouldn't anchor, and not constantly be running that trolling motor on spot lock? Just seems to me, to be alot of wear on that unit?
Good question it is very dangerous here I have anchor before and you have to use two anchors for your boat not to swing around and with a Minn Kota the both stays put in the same spot and you can move it around if the boat shifts with a current, and there's so many Rex of anchors and ropes in this area from a lot of boaters that when you have to leave you have a 90% chance you won't be able to pick up your anchor the reason I know is because I have an anchor here before and I lost anchors
The generator and the plexiglass you put over the air intake - doesn't the gen need that air intake to either stay cool or for engine air intake? I know there is another one on the there side.
The plexiglas is separated so the air can come in ,the other side is far away from the splash zone.
But i don't use the generator in rough sea ,i did that for precautions only

what is a power pole cap?
@@OutOnTheReef they are electric anchor poles you put in the back of your boat..... a lot quicker and simpler than using a conventional anchor when it applies...... I believe you can make it work in your boat..... just google boat Power Pole and you will see.... let me know?? Saludos!!

That was the design to prevent the carbon monoxide to enter the cabin
