- I think this may be one of my favourite Christmas cookie set (dare I say of all time??!!). They turned out even more cute and festive than I'd imagined. the snowman in particular fits so perfectly with this shape as well, which made me happy to see my idea work out!!
I love using the same shapes for different designs! It gives you so many options without buying hundreds of cookie cutters. I will link this specific cookie cutter below and also give you another option of a similar shape.

Turntables are a game changer. Sometimes I put each cookie on a smaller piece of parchment so I can easily turn the cookie without disturbing anything.
Yes!! I have one of those turntables I just dont use them when filming or sometimes i use the non stick slip mats you can buy in rolls and cut them to size!!!

@@LittleCookieCo At 73 I’ve really have slowed down and doing the long showstopper cookies is just too much. So many people didn’t even want to eat them, lol!
This tutorial makes this simple cookie cutter look so amazing that will still “wow” the recipients.😊

@@cocacolafiestaI feel you! My mom and I used to do a similar number of cookies each year. Several dozen each of at least 10-12 varieties. Golden thumbprints (with jam centers); peanut butter with chocolate kisses; anise seed diamonds (my dad’s favorite); holiday roll outs (decorated using toothpicks and every possible sprinkle, red hot, silver ball, and raisin we could find; “forgotten” meringue cookies colored and flavored with jello; pecan sandies; rum balls; mint chocolate brownies; chocolate chip/butterscotch diamonds; coconut “haystacks” (my least favorite! LOL); “icebox” pinwheel cookies; cookies made in a tray form (we started doing those toward the end). Oh, plus peppermint bark and homemade butterscotch. :) And I’m sure I’ve forgotten some! LOL
I thought I’d make some cookies this visit with mom, but I ended up buying gingerbread house and we decorated that together. She’s got dementia and is in assisted living now, at 89. We still had some fun together. :)
Oh, and I forgot to list the gingerbread cut outs in the list, too! 😂

@@DawnDavidson Well the years have taken a toll on my energy level, lol! Most were sugar cookies but we would make the reindeer cookies too. The way I see it that where I would give dozens to my family that now I’m sure they will appreciate even one dozen. I would make cinnamon candies to send with their cookies too. I just have to work with the energy that I have now at 73 years old but it still is doable. Doing what you can even it was doing the gingerbread house with your mom is still so special.

I very much enjoyed this holiday cookie decoration video ! I have not begun my Christmas sugar cookies yet but I am going to try these ideas with my tree cutters. I made my very 1st ever batch of sugar cookies yesterday and the decorating was very stressful even after a different online cookie “class”.
