Back a few years ago at the North American Christian Convention you had a comedy show. Our 3 kids were pretty little at the time and I could not attend. My husband went and said you were great!! He then showed me a video he took saying how he was sorry I had to miss it. Then, YOU popped in to frame saying “Hey Kayla, sorry I missed you. You have such a servant heart to stay in with the kids” and stuff like that. My husband and I still talk about that AND still have the video. You’re amazing and I love listening to you! You touch lives on the daily!
To be sincerely honest in my humble opinion without being sentimental and of course, without offending anyone who thinks differently from my opinion but rather looking into serious matter with perspective distinction and without condemning anyone's point of view, I honestly think and do believe that I have absolutely nothing to say.
Hahaha! 😄🤦🏻♀️
Underated comment right here😂
That's so awesome
Word Salad... 😂
Your comment reminds me so much of Pinocchio’s answer to Prince Charming in Shrek the Third, when he replies with a word salad to avoid being caught lying 😂
So sweet hearing John talk about his love for his fans! 👏🏻 I am at the airport a lot and as a mom, definitely love complementing strangers. 😄 God has seriously used strangers in my life to give me a compliment when I was struggling and no one in my inner circle knew it. So I know the power of a positive word!
I once saw a woman in the checkout at the grocery store who was probably in her 30's, and she had a full head of grey hair. But it was beautiful. I wanted to tell her just how beautiful it was, but I was too timid, and I have regretted it ever since (almost 20 years now). She may have been self-conscious about it, being as young as she was. That could have lifted her up and made her feel more confident. But I chickened out. That became a launching point in my life to never pass up the opportunity to compliment someone when I admire something about them, stranger or friend, and it has become a lifestyle that I could never go back from.
I’m that “mom.” I am old(er)….raised five kids (awesome adults)….and I think you’re darling….humble with a heavy dose of reality. Keep going. 🥰
@robininva - weird place to do this, but I used to know someone with this same handle on AOL. back in 98-ish...
IT's 12:34am and i just woke up everyone of the other 11 apartments in my building. because i yelled, THANK-YOU!, WHEN JOHN FINALLY SAID MIDEVIL-TIMES.....!!-....GOSH THAT WAS KILLING ME. LOL
I try to compliment people almost every time I go out in public. Most of the time it works out and it’s nice to see people smile.
I love the way John loves his fans! I love ❤️ John Crist!
If a little kid compliments you, it’s real… the opposite is also true… if a kid says something negative about you, that’s probably true too 😅
As soon as you said," Discord, " I thought great Jon that is a Bible verse!. I couldnt think of it either. Blessed by you and how God uses you to make us laugh... It is absolutely the cure to depression!
I always compliment people...just how I'm wired. How to Win friends and influence people...always give sincere compliments
Complimenting is an art form. I notice tattoos and cool t-shirts. Sometimes people I compliment think it’s gonna be something else and smile when they realize I found something they chose cool. As for humor helping, yes it does. John’s show in Syracuse was canceled I know living in NY is hard since it’s not his usual crowd but with all that was going on that year. I was broken up because of it. I am a full time caregiver for my parents both with dementia. It was going to be one of my first nights out after Covid and the opportunity to laugh was what was keeping me going. I had bought the tickets the day they went on sale. I am so happy this podcast is on. It gives me a positive attitude during the week. Thanks John.
keep putting the positive vibes out there! love it
I love how God blessed so many black people with comedy ..They are legit so funny in conversations. I love to laugh😂
Your laugh cracks me up.. it’s so contagious.
I usually bake or exercise during your podcast. Let's Go!!!
Haha I did the same thing at our church’s Christmas concert last year. One of the lead vocalists for a song looks just like Chris Tomlin, and he was singing a Chris Tomlin song. So naturally I started telling everyone I was with that was Chris Tomlin. I was patient 0 spreading false news haha
So talking with John is just him asking you to google stuff. Got it.
LOVE Branson! So much to do!
"hey forgive your dad" WOAH bahhahaahaha
As someone who thrives off of compliments, I can say that even if you weren’t super sincere, the person you’re complimenting still really appreciate it.
I prefer your One Take because you gave your audience 👁 eye contact.
I feel like I am intruding on your conversation on Net Positive.
Yep grew up going to Branson! We love taking our kids there!! 😆 Silver Dollar City all the way!
STAY CLEAN ON THESE STREETS JB!!! Hahahahah
When I saw that shirt I thought it was from the Calgary stampede lol I couldn't see the picture clear...you should come up and do a show and come to the stampede
Medieval FREAKING TIMES!!! Omg I was dying 🤪🤪🤪😝
I was immediately thrilled about the dixie stampede!! North vs South
I think I can honestly say, as a black person... I mainly care about our people killed. And stopping it from all angles.
Iont care about no syrup bottles, rice boxes etc. There are more important issues I care about. I feel like that's the #1 thing people should be woke about.
So humble
Encourage each other and build each other up is straight from the Bible! ❤
3:16 AH! He’s talking about a Medieval Times! I’ve been to one in Buena Park, California and I know there’s one in Baltimore
There also was an Arabian Nights in Orlando…but that may also be a cancelable concept
Wrentham, MA Let’s gooooo!!
Love to you, John 💛
You go to drum circles? That’s cool, I didn’t know you played the drums. 😎🥁🥁
Medieval Times was fun - get to eat with your hands!!! 😂
WATCHING THIS EPISODE FOR THE FIRST TIME 10/2024
My husband's grandma can be quite native/gullible, and for years we've told her we should all go to Hooters together as a family. She really has no clue what Hooters is, and has always willfully agreed with the idea. My father-in-law's joking theory was that as long as there's an old lady eating at the restaurant, then it's okay to go. 😅
We've never followed through with the threat, and as Christians, I'm honestly not sure we could bring ourselves to do so. Years having passed, my husband and I now have 3 teenage boys, so it definitely won't be happening, but it certainly has always been fun to mess with grandma about. 😂
I would totally buy that shirt... "be* the net positive"...rainbow mmmmm. make it happen John! thanks for the laughs.....
I'm 45 yo married woman, walking through Walmart and i couldn't decide if it would be too much like hitting on a guy by telling him he smelled good. I didn't b/c i didn't want to get myself into a situation...
What! You said Gwinnett Place mall. Dude that place was happening when I lived there in 1994, but haven’t seen it in years and we moved to Dallas. Now I’m curious to drive by next time we’re in the area! And yes, Medieval Times is down the road. 😂
Are these always live? I catch part of them after they have aired.
I finally went to Branson last and this year
Flaming Margaritas hits hard in Branson MO
Love the compliment stories. Sowing discord is rampant right now. My 14 yr old referred to another kid from basketball camp as trash ..I’m like uhh let’s not do that bud. Just because a kids not good @ something doesn’t make them trash. I think a bad attitude is more trash than skill level but either way not good to call someone that. So yeah gotta work on the compliments 🤪
I'm a female and honestly when Alex said "a seven," I was not offended at all. I laughed out loud and thought it was so funny. But I understand John not wanting to go there! The mum analogy was much safer.
California wants to be the king of woke. I don't care how much my state tries to get attention. We are not doing alright. Good episode, John.
At the end when they’re talking about the compliments you can totally tell that the guest on Johns show is married… he def had more experience complimenting lol John take notes bro 😂
Lol correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Dixie Stampede have you either on the south side or the north side competing?
We honeymooned in Branson, MO almost 6 years ago...first time I had ever been.
Yes it was confederate vs union. The workers had the different soldier uniforms as did the waiters serving the food.
All John did was compliment people's shoes...bruh that doesn't count 😂😂
I have been to Branson.
Medieval times
I love Medieval times
Who we see here, WHAT we say here, etc...let it stay here...
First Nation culture. They were here before us.
So if a guy compliments a girl on her shoes, does he like her?
Can we get Ernest on the pod
I went to Dolly’s stampede last year. It was really good but the name change is rather dumb but oh well 🤷🏼♂️
Why don't you offer a pay it forward to help those who cannot afford it but need to laugh
Interesting that John has had some trouble sexually in his past and yet he feels like he's fine going into Twin Peaks. I guess that's just not what every man is attracted to?
