      I see English, Scottish, Irish, and German. I thinks it's a conglomeration of the different ethnic groups that settled the west. I wouldn't be surprised if there were Scandinavian influences as well. I don't know enough about Scandinavian dance to see it though.

    went to a second hand store in Libby (I love you) and bought a skirt and blouse. thought it ad look nice until later someone commented on my train tour "going to the dance" via which I found out I had bought an outfit for square dance from the 60.
    I was informed that schools still teach square dance. very nice. our children are taught to run after a ball and kick it. barmy. to cooperate together is Far more commendable.

    Just as we have called eastern Appalachian dancing, cued contra dance, clogging, and hoedown this side of the Mississippi (TN).....(most involving lines, circles, and hand work as well as heavy duty exercise) there is western hoedown and traditional circle and reel dancing, often involving clogging and arm lifts and likewise lots of energy. There is called square dance that is hoe down style with lots of repetition for couples in the formation. Idaho is a wonderful example of natural beauty, charming communities, and agricultural plots as far as the eye can see. Western square dancing we see now around the world is a composite of many of the activities used til now.

      🤗Verbundenheit 🤗
      der Völker gemeint. Denn Musik; Tänze; Speisen sind ja universell.
      Sie gehören in Wahrheit niemand; sondern sind in meinem Begreifen universelles Gut der gesamten Menschheitsgeschichte.
      Also- auf das Tanzen von Tänzen in aller Welt aus allen Teilen der Welt! 😍 Universelle Grüße an alle 😘

      @Thuiringer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@caleidoscopepatchamamalove3082 Dass dein Kommentar nicht negativ gemeint war, ist schon klar. Aus meiner Familie sind auch einige wenige in den 30er Jahren in die USA ausgewandert und manche von deren Nachkommen leben noch dort(Illinois). Hoffentlich haben diese den selbstherrlichen Trump damals nicht gewählt. Hier in Deutschland sind wahrscheinlich die meisten Menschen Nachkommen von Einwanderern, welche vor hunderten von Jahren aus Osteuropa hier herkamen. Musik und Tanz werden immer an den jeweiligen Zeitgeist angepasst, die Künstler wollen ja Erfolg haben. Ein Freund sagte mir mal das bei Medien in Deutschland, Presse und Fernsehen der Marktwert der Künstler mit entscheidend ist, wer gefördert und ausgezeichnet wird.Grüße aus Thüringen.
