I would like to start selling on the walmart marketplace, but i do not know exactly what we would need in order to be eligible to get an approval to sell on walmart. I just know that, we would need to have a company, but i am based (my residence) in turkey. Can i create a company in turkey, so that the company is based in turkey, in order to be accepted for walmart or is it really mandatory to create the company in the US?

Hello, Walmart is still accepting application however, they are definitely being more selected and accepting mostly sellers who already have a presence online (have sales history in other channels) - so my advice would be to start in another platform such as Amazon, and then apply again. Also, they only suspend sellers that do not follow their rules, for example, using Amazon FBA to fulfill their Walmart orders, which many sellers still try to do but Walmart has been very clear about not allowing it.

You can but you may not get approved right away :/ I'd encourage you to start with Amazon and your own website to get some sales, then apply for Walmart.

If you don't live in the US you may still be able to create a business in the US and therefore get an EIN number. I also heard Walmart is allowing a few international sellers (without EIN) but I think that's only for high volume sellers for now :/
UPC stands for Universal Product Code - so kind of like the Social Security Number of that specific product. Some people also call it GTIN or EAN. When you go to a store and scan a product barcode, that's their UPC code and barcode so they can be identified, same with online sales. Hope this helps!

Hi! Absolutely you can (and should) use the same UPC codes from Amazon. And to be honest I believe it will significantly decrease your chances to getting approved if you leave it at $0. It's up to you what you prefer to put there as an answer but I do think if it's $0 you wouldn't get approved or at least not right away, though I can be wrong.
Hi Cristian, what I've heard is that unfortunately they seem to be prioritizing sellers who already have a presence in other sales channels but I wouldn't say that you won't be approved. They are also quickly growing and making changes so my advise would be to set up a website (which is a requirement) and apply. In the meantime look into growing other sales channels you might like (Amazon, Etsy, Ebay, etc).
They won't reject you because you added FBA as a CURRENT shipping method unless that is a very recent update. What they WILL do is suspend your account IF you use FBA to fulfill WALMART ORDERS.
Since you are dropshipping, when you applied to Walmart how did you put down on your application an address for your own warehouse? Did you list your dropshipper's warehouse, and did Walmart accept that? Also how did you list an answer to the inventory question they ask on the application?

As a foreigner you can use the W-8 form for the application.

There are no monthly fees for a Walmart account (at least for now) - you just have to pay a commission for ever sale.
