I've completed your mods with my transmitter and pleased to report all working good. Thank you Mike for all your information you share about these FlyWing helis. A great tip too about launching the gentle take -offs.
Attitude mode is a life saver. I've tried 3D on the Bell 206 but it was scary and with my intermediate skills I would not be able to save the helicopter in this mode. Flying in attitude mode was remarkably stable. Thanks for the advice👍
Really informative vid Mike, well explained and easily understood. Love your relaxed style. Observational note: when you were explaining the GPS calibration your radio was out of shot on the odd occasion which for noobs might be a little worrisome but it never detracted from the main goal. Awesome job, well done bruv 👏🏾🚁👌🏾
I've just found your channel from Tucker T's. This is the 1st video I've seen on reprogramming the transmitter. I'm going to do your changes to mine, using your excellent step by step guide. I'm a novice with a Fly Wing B206 Jet Ranger V3.
Just received my 206, and I’m glad I came across your videos. I’m returning to the RC hobby after being out for many, many years. If you don’t mind, I do have a question. Can you set up 4 flight modes? I’d like to set up the 3 position as GPS (top), 6G (middle), and RTH bottom. However, while in GPS have the 2 position GPS (top), ATI (bottom). Then have the 2 position default to the same as the 3 position when in 6G and RTH. Will this flight controller/ radio do that? Thanks in advance. Again, your videos have been a wonderful asset.
@ I truly appreciate your response. I’m impressed with the machine as it is. However, your tutorials have made me realize there is far more than meets the eye. As a non sponsored review / tutorial you have done this product an eminence justice. Thank you for taking the time with such great detail. I have zero doubt your efforts will result in my success with this product.
Hi Mike, awesome explanation of the set up of the heli my question is I have bought the Roban 450 the Roban 500 and I am building a T-Rex 700 all with the H1 all BNF so how do I set the transmitter up using the fly sky fs- i6s ant reciever fs-ia6B what settings do I put in the transmitter thanks.
👍👍👍👍👍Follow every word of this Mikes advise and pass this link to all you know getting into flying gps. He is a encyclopedia of knowledge. From my own experience flying new to these gps H1 flywing helicopters. Mike has helped me tremendous amounts to get my feet wet again without all the frustration that can easily come along with flying helis. My next buy is the bigger printer for that beautiful fuselage your designed in backdrop ;-)
Great video Mike, am thinking of getting one as my first RC Heli. Did flywing say when they may be changing out the radio with the new style with the different power off button instead of a switch ? Thanks
Thank you so much for giving this information I consider to buy one but the only thing is the price it cost 744,45 euros to send it to europe from bangood with out any import duties ,so complete it wil cost over the 1000 euro that is far away for a beginner. But anyway is good to see how important it is to check everything the only thing what I don't understand is they call it direct drive ,but it has a big black plastic main gear next to the engine so why does it call direct drive ? other thing is is not a big issue but after a couple time you need to change the main gear is made of plastic and will wear out faster.
Whomever is calling it a 'Direct Drive' is mistaken. It is NOT a direct Drive. You can forget that notion. Main gear will not wear out faster as it has the correct tolerance between it and the pinion gear. The gears are not high torque like an RC Car for instance, they are just rotating constantly at a constant speed. So, nothing to worry about in that department. Cheers.
But direct from Flywing all rates and duties are included in the price and you'll get better support when buying direct. I get mine sent to the UK and pay about £600 (€700) per model delivered to my door. Yes they are not cheap but they are worth every penny. Trust me as a beginner these helis will save you a fortune in repairs as they are not as difficult to fly as a standard collective pitch helicopter.... The plastic gears last longer than you say too, my FW450 has 500+ minutes on the clock and still has the original gear. I will replace it next season but you certainly don't need a new one every few flights....
@@Tucker_T I live in the Netherlands, here here we pay a lot of import duties the customs checks are randomly if your'e lucky you will pass other wisse you have to pay import duties with declaration costs.
@doehri the uk is no different upto 27.5% import duties on some purchases. But when you buy direct its all in the final price. Check the website it clearly states all import fees included. If your in Holland use motion rc they have flywing helicopters under €700 and their stock is held in the Netherlands no import needed as its already in your country....
Thank you (from this soon-to-be 80 year old) for your advice, support and clarity re the revision of the tx settings. Having watched a couple of FlyWing crashes caused by inadvertent ‘switching off’ - would it be appropriate to shorten (half height) that particular switch (a Dremel comes to mind) as the switch is operated in a positive move at start and finish, and not needed in actual flight?
Hi. I would not do that in case if emergency and rather ignore and never use the automated flight modes on swith B. That way your reaching in that direction will only have one purpose. Regards
Thank you for prompt response - I’m smiling somewhat, as I’d already decided that, when I do a figure 8, I will be the pilot - it was my greatest love when flying my Trex 500 - sweeping seamlessly from end to end on my local rugby pitch (match free). So yes, I see the logic which will apply to me, maybe less so to those who crashed.
Hello I ordered one of these and I will make the changes you suggest to attitude mode however the calibration is a little confusing to me when you took it outside we didn't get to see what you were doing also is that the receiver that came with it or did you attach a different receiver I'm a little confused on the whole calibration process is it possible I could change to attitude mode without calibrating
Hi. enter calibration mode on radio and move all sticks. Enter calibration mode on software and move all sticks. That is the stock receiver. You can bypass all the calibration and change to ATT mode as it is calibrated from the factory. This is just a precautionary step. Regards
Hi mike wish I'd seen your videos earlier crashed my Roban Airwolf 450 by flishrc and ruined the fuselage would it be possible to install the workings from that into the bell 206
Great tutorial. I can tell you that it is an awesome helicopter and can take a beating. Here is where I crashed mine (it still flies) due to total pilot error. th-cam.com/video/II_aOkkV4q4/w-d-xo.html

Hi. Yes you can have
GPS 3D RTH on 3 pos switch and
GPS ATT on switch D.
Make sure to check all positions and assign the values accordingly. Regards

excellent video! I crashed mine in 3d mode. you should have uploaded this video a few weeks earlier.
He he. I uploaded ATT mode suggestion weeks ago. Glad you found it useful though. 😊
Do you have videos of blade balancing.Hailing from the Caribbean
I dont no. there are a lot of other videos on that already
I see subtitles in your other videos, but I don't see any subtitles in this video.
hit the Gear icon, then SUBTITLES, then English (AUTO GENERATED). regards
Strangely, only this video doesn't auto-translate. Anyway, thank you for this detailed helicopter description😊@@Mikes-tuts-rev

Mike thank you for this video, im still waiting to buy one of these bell units. Question can you just buy the guts and put it in another shell?
Mike will the new M10 GPS module work on the older ones? I have the first versions of the Bell and the FW450. Thanks. Great video BTW.
I, I cannot comment on that to be honest. thanks for watching.
Would you recommend atti mode on an airwolf ?
On all the helis, yes for sure

Hi. Sorry to hear about your crash. Mechanics won't fit into the Flywing fuselage. You'd need to get a Roban compatible one. Regards
Okay Mike thanks for your reply keep up the videos very useful
I don't understand of the values !!! How would you know 1400 and so on ....
@@oenoesrahardjo5492 please see my video on assigning values. Regards
