Consumers were denied the privilege of buying this car due to poor marketing by dealerships. Sales personnel didn't know enough about the car and we're encouraged to push it. I own a Volt and absolutely love it. It's a 2012 and has 88k miles and has had zero problems. I dare you to drive a 2016 or newer one and compare it to a car ..any car under 30k!
Hey Jerry, well done review. Only thing is you will visit a gas station again. The Volt has what is called a maintenance mode for it's gas engine. If the engine has not ran for a certain amount of time, it will turn it on for about 5 min or so. This allows oil movement exc as well as computer to run checks on engine. Most volt owners that work within that mile limit tend to see 1,000 miles between fill ups.
Also, on cold starts in temperatures close to freezing or lower, the gas engine will start up to help warm up the interior and battery. It will run for about 10 minutes.
Fantastic car! My 2013 Volt is averaging 144 MPG and has been bulletproof. Maintenance is much lower with electric cars, too. The more you drive, the more you save!

@@irvinmartin9259 Unless you disable that "feature". That is now off on both of our 2nd gen Volts.
