This has been the first relatable IVF journey I've seen!! Finally, one that is mainly male factor infertility. It is very encouraging. We were able to get sperm from my husband via surgery. I start my injections for the egg retrieval on May 14, 2021 and I'm so excited!! My AMH is high...5.94 so I suspect I will have over stimulation like Tiffany did.
It's nice to see a story with Male Factor Infertility for once. When we got tested for infertility at 40 years old, I assumed it was me. I had to be the problem, right? No. My fertility is higher than average for my age. My husband was diagnosed with azoospermia. We did talk to a doctor who specializes in male fertility but we were advised to skip to using donor sperm. We would lose too much valuable time that I'm still fertile chasing an option that was extremely unlikely to work, even with IVF. Stories that are shared are generally about how they got to use their own sperm. We're obviously not the only heterosexual couple who are using donor sperm.
Each Mom's story is fascinating with the navigation of their story. It's heartbreaking for anyone that goes thru it. Tiffany really did her homework as well & was eager to share. To me helping someone else on their journey is absolutely precious. May everyone succeed in their journey to become a Mom & don't forget the Dad's. Ty again for sharing.
Thank you so much, I try to educate myself on any situation I face. It helps me go into things with my eyes wide open. Sharing our stories helps other learn and understand, whether they’re facing a diagnosis, they know someone who is, or if they just want to learn more.
Thank you for sharing. Male infertility is not talked about much. My husband has azoospermia which means he has zero sperm in his ejaculate. It took almost 18 hours to find a single doctor that treats severe male infertility.
You are so welcome, Molly. You are absolutely right male infertility is not talked about very much. I also talked to another friend who told her story. Her name is Andrea and her husband has the same male factor as yours. They chose to go the egg donor route to build their family. I do wish you all the very best on your journey. ❤️
Happy Valentines Day to you and hope everything is going well for you and your family and God bless you all and stay safe and healthy. Love 💘guys so much 💘❤💗💓💖💕
