    I wish bronzing was mentioned in this video. I bought a P900 and there's noticeable bronzing on black and white prints using Epson Ultra Premium Lustre paper. I wish I knew about the bronzing before buying the P900. Might have bought the Canon Pro 1000 instead. I've only seen Keith Cooper speak about it and even that was in a written article which I'd missed before buying the P900.

    Can you add the descriptions of the paper used and maybe the links to the products?

    What's the Epson printer like with a roll of paper? Is there any chance of a video with that in mind?

    Thanks for all your highly useful videos
    Can you compare between the epson p-700 and the canon pro-300
    What would you prefer?

    How many P700 Custom ICC Profiles have you done for your customers (from them sending in a test print sheet)? How much of a variance is there between your generic P700 ICC Profile and the custom ones? Are the colours truly out from one P700 to another P700 such that everyone really need their very own custom ICC profile?
    A follow up question: how often should a P700 printer owner get custom ICC profiles? Just the once? Every X months? After N number of prints? In other words, does the printer "slide" and needs to be recalibrated (i.e. new custom ICC profile) every so often?

    • @FotospeedUK
      @FotospeedUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In short, they do vary slightly and if you want the very best out of your printer we recommend getting a new custom ICC every year but it's not essential.

    I’ve been using this printer since it first became available and couldn’t be happier with it. It’s a real gem of a printer.

      How have you find it in terms of roughly how many prints you get from a set of full tanks? Also a lot of gripes from many Epson users on build quallity vs older models (paper feed system) etc. how have you found this aspect? Finally are you having many issues with print head cloggs?

    Just one system question - what about nozzle problems when you don’t use the printer for let’s say a month (vacation time). With my former Stylus Pro 4900 it was a problem. Yet I loved the prints, not the size of that printer 🫣
    I’ve seen a TH-cam movie where a Canon was tested after a half year on inactivity and… it worked fine (the Pro300). It’s what’s slowing me down to buy this P700 (and the 13” roll feeder is an advantage nearly never discussed).
    So yeah, this is a cry for help/advice…
    PS ever tested the Marrutt refill system as it provides all inks for the P700?
    Thanks for the movies and hopefully for your reaction. Regards from Belgium

    With the P700, do you print borderless on A3+ photo paper? Any problems doing such prints?

    My image looks beautiful on my screen, but when I print it the image comes out muddy looking. What could be happening here?

    Yes, my P900 is a really nice printer. Such a pity that it appears to continue Epson's reputation for poor reliability.
    Twice, mine has wasted a lot of ink by recharging all the lines when I have replaced a cartridge. Epson's response was 'sorry, out of warranty', so I am really grateful for Steve's intervention in getting a satisfactory outcome - at least for the present. If only Epson would take a lesson from Fotospeed on customer service.

    Is it possible to buy your ink and papers in Germany?

    I looked at this printer again & compared to Canon pro 300. I finally bought this printer because size of the printer & bigger ink cartridges than the Pro 300. Purchased it from Fotospeed and I was really surprised to find a A4 test pack of papers. Thank you Fotospeed. Maybe I might try again with printing B&W as my old Canon pro 100 is showing its age. Happy printing everyone.

  • @ytuberization
    @ytuberization ปีที่แล้ว

    Many thanks! Two remarks: Head strikes are indeed a problem because of the missing vacuum system, as it is available in the Canon Pro-1000. Yes, you can adjust to thick paper in the printer menu, but it is lost with every restart. This should be done via the media settings in the software. Second: You can adjust in the printer driver the ABW settings for lighter/darker and warmer/colder settings easily.

    • @rogerwalton8160
      @rogerwalton8160 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never ever seen headstrikes in all the time I’ve used it. I curl the paper slightly and only load one sheet at a time.

    • @ytuberization
      @ytuberization ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don’t have head strikes, why do you then curl the paper?

    • @FotospeedUK
      @FotospeedUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be nice to keep the settings stored on the printer and also available to choice within the driver. Hopefully Epson will look at this in the future. Tim

    Nice video, could you comment on:
    - How often are you experiencing paper feed issues - a commonly reported issue?
    - Do you see gloss differential or bronzing?
    Thanks

    • @ytuberization
      @ytuberization ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the P900 and have exactly these issues: Permanent paper feed issues and color casts with Baryta paper with B&W prints.

    • @rogerwalton8160
      @rogerwalton8160 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I sometime have people report feed issue maybe a hand full of time a year personally and I can't see any gloss differential on prints. Tim

    Does it print on a roll. I thought the Canon pro300 will do roll? Sorry Tim

    • @rogerwalton8160
      @rogerwalton8160 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it can print on roll paper.

    • @FotospeedUK
      @FotospeedUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      The P700 will print from a 13" roll. But the Pro-300 has to be cut sheets but can print long lengths. Tim
