Apologies if the sound is a little off. A combination of recovering from a cold and an older microphone that I don't usually use. If you have any lessons you learned this year I'd love to hear them.

It was great to hear your experiences and reflections! You are your worst critic! It is really difficult to be honest to yourself and face the reality. I really want to start my own reflection for the next year now

To me, you are extremely young. I am 55. Rejoice in your youth!

I mean I feel younger now than I did at 23 ! Life is funny.

Thank you for sharing Ciara, I relate so much to your lessons from this year. A lesson I’m coming to terms with is duality will always coexist, even in suffering.
Would you care to share some of your favorite books from this year? Would love to hear your suggestions

Ooh. Are you looking for non fiction or fiction? I didn't read much non fiction this year because I was practicing a low information diet when working my way through the steps of the 4 hour work week. Favourite this year: Wintering. 3 of my all time favourites (non fiction): Getting Things Done; The Power of Moments; Rest.

Thank you for this video. I happened to be crying and didn't really know why at first and then it hit me the thought "I hate this fucking job". I've been working part time as a journalist and it's such a boring unfulfilling underpaid job that right from the start I wasn't sure whether to continue. I hoped it would get better but it's not. They want me to work more hours and I know I will be underpaid even in the new year. I'm sad though cuz I wanted some more money and the guys are cool, I can also often work from home and it's an easy job. But I can't stand it's such a waste of time. I want to be brave and on Monday just say to my boss that I don't want to go on. Either he pays me well and I do less hours, or I just go away even though they are really going to need me in the next months. But it's not my responsibility, if they want me they'll make me a good offer. I still have my acting course and my Italian course where I get a lot more of money from. And I so want to focus on preparing for my PhD, I have to retake language exams and study to write a research project, I feel all the time like this job is robbing me of my time. I'm scared... Also of what my family and so are going to think of me. I don't wanna look like a quitter... But you helped me make this decision anyway ❤️

Padma, I am so sorry to hear that you are having a tough time. It's good that you have other income sources that you can rely on because I would definitely make sure that if you are thinking of leaving your job to make sure that you will still be able to support yourself. I don't think quitting makes you a quitter, you're choosing yourself which is very brave xxx

@PhDandProductivity yeah thank God for the time being I'm back at living with my mom which is not ideal but until I get into a PhD program it will do. I also miss working on TH-cam. I would love to start a new channel about studying & motivation a bit similar to yours 💛 thanks for the inspiration
