I live in Florida (St. Pete). I use the County alert system for extreme weather notifications. It's free and they provide information such as open shelters, road closures, flooded areas, etc.
I use that as well, but I feel more comfortable using my radar so I can see the direction of the storms and things like that, they offer a lot. Plus, I’ll gladly spend $4 a month to have that for my sanity🤪💕
@@Life.with.Ranelle understandable. I wasn't sure if you were aware of the service. Most of the time the storms don't even hit where it was predicted in the first place. Ian was coming right for us and it turned at the last minute. The Seminole Indians working hard to keep our peninsula safe 🙏🏾
Yeah, for us hurricane Ian wasn’t supposed to hit us. But it did, and I’m glad that I could tell on my radar the direction of it changing as it was happening.
Also Fl here on the space coast. We don’t pay for anything for storm info. Watch mikes weather channel on TH-cam also another Floridian. Not a payment you need.
I guess it’s preference for us. That this is a need in our finances. I get that other people don’t see that. But for $4 a month, I’m definitely going to pay that for my sanity.
