24 hours in the 24th Hornbill Festival 2023 || Biking || Camping || Travel Guide

Every year from 1st December to 10th December, Nagaland celebrates the Hornbill Festival in the beautiful village of Kisama. To reach Kisama, one can fly or take the train to Dimapur. One can take a taxi or rent a bike from Dimapur to reach Kisama village. The distance from Dimapur to Kisama is around 80 km, which takes around 3 hours. We rented a bike from Dimapur for Rs. 1,500 per day. We stayed at a campsite near the Hornbill Festival arena, in Kisama village for Rs 3,500 per day. One also has to obtain an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to visit Nagaland which costs Rs 50 per head.
