Thank you very much for this channel Mr. Crawford. Honestly, before I found this channel, I had no knowledge of anything old Norse. But, your channel has opened a new door of information for me. I'm not much of a reader, but you have peaked my interest so much that I have actually bought one of your books for Christmas for myself. Great stuff! I'm pretty bummed about the big push to "shorts" by YT as I find them mostly useless clutter. Of course, YT is a business and is free to run whatever kind of business model they choose but it's clearly aimed at a different viewer than me. Nice puukko! Propably old news to people here, but puukkos are primarily considered tools in finland. So traditionally if you got a puukko as a present, it was a sign that the gift giver was invested in your wellbeing. And wanted you to have a useful tool so you could continue to prosper. Atleast this is what I was taught.

(Parenthetically, I have worked both as a secondary and university teacher, though not of languages, and I immediately imagined designing an introductory course for the humanities track in the upper secondary school, where I both taught a decade ago and learned as a youth, based on Jackson’s textbook. 😊)

You have a fine quality voice, and a skill in languages that most people can’t begin to touch. Consider doing a demo to submit to various video game companies and get your name in for consideration for video game characters. I don’t know the ins and outs of that, but certainly it would be worth looking into.

Thanks for everything Jackson (Dr Crawford?) You opened my eyes to what is now one of my favourite topics, and I have just finished my first run through of your 3 books (or the three im aware of). This channel brings me genuine comfort and ignites my interest which can be somewhat hard to do, so at the very least you have had and continue to have a positive impact on my life.
