The droid with PTSD then realized a reset wasn't good enough, and it had to destroy its hardware to be released from the pain. Roiland came on here to say "mmmBUNK" and then make ART for 5 minutes!

@@mrlagx eh, adult swim seems to actually be pretty good at creative freedom (especially in the past). Squidbillies, Superjail, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, the Mighty Boosh, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Home Movies, and even Rick and Morty are all examples of shows that other networks would have ripped apart if they would even touch them at all. That said, this doesn’t mean that door is open now for Joel. Justin probably doesn’t have a ton of pull at as, but you never know. He might end up in a writers room and from there is where those chances can come up (or at the very least, some great creative relationships).

I love how the uncle single-handedly crushed any hopes and dreams Joel's character had. How the smile on Joel's character's face fades away as his enthusiasm and happiness for life on Sand Planet, his sanity even, is stripped away one Mmbonk after another. The dark side awaits this one.

I really doubt he had to pay Roiland. Probably Roiland has seen Joel's content, was a fan, and then reached out to him to do a collaboration. It was probably for the sake of having fun and also legitimizing Joel.
I don’t know why, but the best part for me is when Joel is looking at 2 suns, leaves briefly, and returns to the same position, only there are 3 suns now. I’ve seen this video so many times, and that part kills me every single time.
This is step 1 to Joel having his own show on adult swim in a few years, calling it now.
Why? He's doing great on his own and no executives to tell him how to do it. TV is dead.

@@mrlagx eh, adult swim seems to actually be pretty good at creative freedom (especially in the past). Squidbillies, Superjail, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, the Mighty Boosh, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Home Movies, and even Rick and Morty are all examples of shows that other networks would have ripped apart if they would even touch them at all.
That said, this doesn’t mean that door is open now for Joel. Justin probably doesn’t have a ton of pull at as, but you never know. He might end up in a writers room and from there is where those chances can come up (or at the very least, some great creative relationships).

I love how the uncle single-handedly crushed any hopes and dreams Joel's character had. How the smile on Joel's character's face fades away as his enthusiasm and happiness for life on Sand Planet, his sanity even, is stripped away one Mmbonk after another. The dark side awaits this one.
