Honestly, I like the comic book artstyle of this game. I genuinely wish more games are like this. We've had far too many games that look like hyperrealistic slop that take up too much disk space and cost far too much. This game right here? Just the right price for some great quality and gunplay. And we don't even have the full game yet, it's just the first episode.
1:47 - Given the look of the gun and how the action cycles, the 'Tranquilizer Pistol' is almost certainly based on the British Welrod silenced pistol from WW2
@@Glenn_Quagmire No, COD doesn't have the +1 in the chamber mechanic. A gamemode, yes, but not the actual weapon handling characteristic. For example, the average M4A1 and AKM both hold 30 rounds in a standard magazine. Despite that, reloading from a non-empty state doesn't add an extra round to the chamber. No COD game has ever done that particular characteristic in ANY entry in the entire franchise. Meanwhile, games like this, Battlefield, Ready or Not, and even mods for Doom like Brutal Doom, Raging Bull, and Ashes 2063 somehow manage to keep that bit of firearms realism even if some of those games aren't even remotely realistic.
No one is gonna believe me, but one of my best friends is the girlfriend of Trey Powell, the guy who created the game. Pretty cool to see it getting this recognition right off the rip. Makes me jealous tbh lmao
I absolutely love the art of this game. I hope Jonathan Ferguson the keeper of firearms and artillery of the Royal Armoury in the UK which houses thousands of iconic weapons throughout history, will get a glimpse of the weapons in this game. I think he might enjoy it for what it is just like he loved the weapons in Battlebit Remastered. Two very different games but the devs really went all in when it comes to weapons.
1:23 That's not a Hybrid of the Dan Wesson Model 15 V, Mateba Model 6, that's The Matebley MK 2006! Edit: the gun doesn't actually exist, it's a given name
Pretty cool to have a game that actually uses empty guns as melee weapons. Not that weak call of duty smack but turning the gun around and using it like a club.
Bro, not every shooter game needs to have Call of Duty level graphics and animations. Seriously, folks like you are practically a big reason as to why every mainstream game looks like hyperrealistic slop these days. No creativity, no stylized artstyles, it's either 1:1 realism or it's somehow the worst game to ever exist. EDIT: Bit of an extra, but even AAA shooters have bad animations when it comes to gunplay, especially when the animation teams are either underpaid or did not do proper research.

Try game called Void Bastards
Also amazing comic visuals
cod fans when the game isnt extreme ultra hyper realistic 128k graphics and not taking your entire disk space 😭😭😭
Try Action Doom 2: Urban Brawl
[1:23] Ah, yes. The Matebley MK 2006. My favorite revolver of all time.
Some people in the comments just don't have taste. If it ain't animated by Activision studios, it is automatically shit to them.
It drives zoomers insane that gamers can be happy
The animation reminds me of that show Archer.
god forbid an animator make original animations😔
@@mattc7420 what are you talking about ? I'm a '05 zoomer and I like this game's animations
The revolver reload animations look like they're unfinished though? Are people just not allowed to criticize games anymore?

So a game styled like this can have +1 chamber mechanics, yet Call of Duty can't.
This game has actual effort put into it
Especially funny since Call of Duty has had a gamemode called “one in the chamber” since I don’t even know how long.
Cod has always just added the extra 1 to the mag, as not to overcomplicate a fast-paced arcade shooter game.

what "recognition" as if this is some hidden gem that came out years ago, it just came out.

+1 for using his full legal name
The developers of Fallen aces butchered the Thompson. as well as putting a weird hybrid revolver.

Fallen Aces a wonderful game where Archer meets XIII
A mateba webley hybrid looks like something out of destiny. It looks amazingly cursed

I have played the demo of Fallen Aces. Really fun game and look like it’s not disappointed in its weapons

Guns can be used in melee combat in Condemned iirc
@@OperatorMax1993Yeah but they're absolutely pathetic
It vaguely reminds me of the game XIII, by Ubisoft
first thing that comes to my mind as well lol
Same
its the exact same premise
[1:23] It's strange seeing a Mateba 2006M considering the game's time period.
This is a comicbook world type deal
Some of the guns are anachronistic to the time period, since it differs from our own.
Kinda makes sense given that old comic books also likes adding fictional (for the time) gun designs back in the day.
I'm just glad the guns are right handed
I absolutely loved this game, might start playing other new blood games because of this game
and this is just episode 1.
This reminds me of old flash games I like it
I can't put my finger on it but I know I played a game which had this art style or atleast something close
Giving me _Archer_ vibes.
this comic´ish style graphics (if we can call it like that) reminds me that mod for Doom, Action Doom 2 Urban Brawl very good to play i recomend it 👍
Urban brawl was one of my favorites.. I saw a lot of resemblance too when I first saw this game
Trey Powell has said that Action Doom was one of the inspirations for this game.
the tranq gun resembles the malorian arms 3516 in cyberpunk to me
What in the god damn...??
Also for me it looks more like a C96 combined with a welrod
@@Le_pakg4468same, also fixed mag on side lol
Its more of a modified Welrod but I guess the silhoutte of the gun can make it seem that way.
Man compared to dusk this is quite a change of art style
Different developers, dude. But they're both published by New Blood.
@@enricopaolocoronado2511 oh that makes sense
Its a spiritual sequel to the freeware game "Urbal Brawl"
You will notice a small similarity in the artstyle
Reminds me of XIII
Love it
reminds me of Archer
If i singing in gutair, the enemies will come to me?
Reminds me of Ubisoft’s XIII bahahaha
they should add aiming, some of the weapons are super innacurrate such as the nailgun
Part of the weapon balancing, since the low-accuracy guns and their ammo tend to be more common
Use the cigarette packs. They give an accuracy boost plus they're very common across the levels.
The game's mostly about Melee combat anyhow. Guns are a temporary power boost to let you clear a room or two before having to get back to brawling.
idk why but some animations feel weird, by far i lov the melee ones
Comic-style drawing game
Me recuerda al Action Doom Urban brawl
Reminds me of XIII :o
that aint no nailgun, that's a bastard gun
This game has a weird arsenal of guns
Because the game mostly focuses on melee combat?
There is one weapon missing S O A P
sumthing abt it reminds me of bioshock 1 and i dont know y😭
Same aesthetics, and gritty design
XIII 2: XIV
Hahahaha wow, I'm still waiting for that sequel 🤷🏻♂️
more or less like the XIII game
Whose here for the tommy gun?
The animations are nice but the lines are way too thick
Good animation, but i think they should change the revolver model, it look out of place like it's from cyberpunk game. maybe webley revolver.
That "automatic pistol" sounds awful compared to "pocket pistol".
the Automatic Pistol is a colt .45, It's firing a tank shell compared to the little peashooter that is the Pocket Pistol.
Forgive Me Father ahh graphics
Forgive Me Father made a reference to Fallen Aces in the first game.
That chiappa rhino is so out of place 🤢
Wut
I agree on that, they should have used a M29 revolver instead
Isn't that supposed to be a Webley revolver?
@ShadeAshe451 the angular cylinder and lack of top break look like a chiappa. It's hard to tell on the barrel position
it's because of the different worlds. The game literally has a Mauserod
Me: mom, can i get doom plz?
Mom: we have a doom at home.
Doom at home:
Time is really a flat circle that we're just calling any first person shooter a DOOM clone nowadays huh?
this is probably coming from an alien whose first video game was doom and now thinks every video game out there is just doom
Your Mom made a right choice.
SO QUIT WHINING!
hahaha yeah very funny
