Imagine if these 3 monsters (and the others) were more difficult in Endless Mode (faster [EM S4/S8] or teleports almost instantly to the player if you look away [S6]). That would be insane
you know, I actually prefer Specimen 6 here. He's more like a weeping angel, since if you look away for just a split second, he moves closer, as opposed to the main game where it takes more than a second for him to move closer. I don't like the fact that he disappears and teleports here though, the same way he does in HD. I think that was a mistake. But I guess Kira wanted to increase the difficulty a tad more, especially since he does very little damage.
@@TheSpookyKing Although there is no life regeneration, I find it a shame that the monsters do so little damage. They should have made the monsters do 20-25% damage per hit. That would have been more challenging

that would have been the perfect final line for him, it's a shame he never got one. Although it would have been a bit weird to hear him speak. All we've ever heard from him vocally is his laugh.
I love how for specimen 4 (Ringu), they made the halls more like the large hallways you would find in any school, when you were going to like.. The nurse or something. One thing I didn't like was how the screeching were repeating the exact same. I feel like these screeches could be randomly generated. Specimen 8 (Deer Lord) felt like a refresher of "This deer ripoff guy is actually dangerous, wow" to me. How the deer get added really impresses me, and I just generally favor the Deer Lord for its design renovated or not. I did realize it took practically one strike to knock the deer down, and if they are the children of the Deer Lord, I would expect them to have more strength. Possibly more lore to the deer, as yes, there can be possibilities to it. That's more of a Dark Deception fantasy of mine that I wish, though. Specimen 6.. Oh my god. I need to-.. Is that- Yes, those children are being hung. What the fresh hell.. That's a major add-on, _deer_ god. The gameplay here, besides those kids, impresses me more. Hate to diss Ben the Merchant, but he's really not the best specimen out there. The chase theme, though, it's great. It probably convinces people at least sometimes that the chase is over, when it's really not. In all, Ringu is a mommy with issues, Deer Lord is a daddy with issues, and Ben the Merchant is a large, annoying, wooden _birch_ .
unfortunately ben probably has the easiest chase here considering you still have the axe, and it is shown to work on specimens. you just have to wait for him to drop down then hit him with the axe and hes done for the rest of the room ringu most likely is the hardest chase. decently fast + the visual impairment

I know this video is old but it’s so weird seeing gameplay from ringu when I’m used to seeing the food demon- His chase was hard yet fun- since the rooms were pretty complicated sometimes and you coudnt see where the doors were you’d straight up miss them at times- and then the part where you needed to go through the fun tunnel while he was chasing you- that shit was cool

All you have to do is keep running through the path, killing any minor enemies (or the other deer) along the way. Specimen 6(Ben the Merchant): this one looks strongly similar to specimen 4’s process, but with a twist: eventually, you will find this room with a button in the center and 4 doors awaiting you. You must lure specimen 6 onto the button so you can enter the pathway to the hell crystal.
That's so cool! I love the references of each Specimen on every chase! Like Specimen 8's wall texture when you meet him and his deers, Specimen 6's meeting room on his final room to go to HELLGATE, and more! So cool! Also, I have a little video prepared that you might like. ;)
my mouse actually got stuck for a second there and I couldn't move. For some reason it locks up sometimes, especially when playing this DLC. Not sure why. But I was in a bit of panic because of it.
Voice line idea for when Ben the merchant is dragged into the hell gate: "my children will be avenged" referencing his origin story and his hell gate chase deathscreen
8 is _so_ much better in HD. It's interesting how one change can cause such a dramatic shift in both gameplay and spookiness. Also 6's changes make him a full-on threat rather than Peanut minus blinking. EDIT: I forgot that 4 and 6 at least have unique death screens/text.
There's more than just those 3 to choose from btw. You can get Specimen 11 "The Food Demon" too. Also could you show the deaths? I haven't seen any of them yet & I've been told Ben The Marchant's one is pretty good {it's not the eyeball scene from the original I was told he had a new 'poem' that explains his character a bit more}

And yes, I'm kinda glad HD replaced Ringu with Specimen 11, because we all know how outrageous her chase is in HD. I'd say go for all if you really wanna bother but it's not necessary at all, 11's chase alone would suffice
