They are two actors who trained absurdly to play these characters, the two are not boxing professionals and all the training scenes have no effects or CGI.

Binged this the day it came out and finished it at 2am! Loved every second of it! The two main leads put in the work! Wo dohwan (Gun woo) is an amazing actor and has done action before. Lee Sang yi is also great and surprisingly he hasn't done action before. Both of them are besties in real life so the chemistry is really palpable and you come to love them their brotherhood really quick!
As others might have mentioned in the comments, the actress who plays Hyeon-joo was unfortunately involved in a DUI. Most of the drama had been filmed by then thus it was difficult to remove her. The director made the decision to keep all her scenes in until ep 6, after that if you notice some things lacking of loose ends its more than likely due to her removal near the end. Nonetheless, it didn't stop me from enjoying the drama and I hope you do as well!

The actress who played the role of 'Cha Hyeon-joo' was drunk driving before the filming of this drama was over.
She was drunk and bumped into a telephone pole by her side of the road.
In South Korea, 'drunk driving' is regarded as a serious social problem to the extent that it is called 'preliminary murder'.
Usually, when an incident like this occurs, all scenes featuring the actress who caused the accident are deleted or replaced with a new actress.
But, at the time of the incident, filming for the drama was almost in the second half.
Casting new actress and reshoots were not possible due to production costs and other actors' schedule.
Since deleting all of her scenes would make the play awkward, the director did not delete a single scene until episode 6.
The director was so stressed out that he developed a herniated disc in his neck.
The actress who caused the drunk driving controversy is currently suspended.
From her 7th episode, she suddenly disappears, so the flow of her 7th and 8th episodes can feel a bit awkward.

THIS is the most gruesome kdrama I have ever seen. Had me covering my eyes, ears, hiding, bawling, squirming...LORD. BUT it is one of my favorite kdramas.
I am watching this right now too. I love the lead actor's work (mad dog, joseon attorney: a morality, the king: eternal monarch) he is amazing at emotional scenes-one of the best.

I had watched my boy Woo Do Hwan (blue) on his first appearance on a Korean variety/reality show, I Live Alone, more than a mth ago, b4 this show was released. Lee Sang Yi (red) also appeared on that episode. They said working on the drama was what made them become good friends. Do Hwan is the adoring little brother to Sang Yi the wiser elder bro. It's cute.

Anyway! About the phone case thing, those cases are designed so you can close them and still talk, its a very boomer thing to do.
Gunwoo (Blue) and Woojin (Red) are literally best boys. The way I've cried with Woo Dohwan's (Gunwoo/Blue) acting in this show, he nails the action scenes and the emotional ones, god, the emotional ones destroy me! I just want to hug and keep him safe, luckily we have Woojin for that.
As Ive said before, the characters feel real bcs they have been well constructed so its easy to connect and empathize with them.
Anyway, I knew you'd really enjoy this first episode, the last act is insanely well choreographed. The show only gets better from here tbh.
Dohwan (Gunwoo/Blue) and Sangyi (Woojin/Red) did boxing training for this show and its insane how good they got at it to make it believable for the show. Dohwan is in several action things so he's used to it, but this was Sangyi's first time doing an action show so Dohwan helped him with that.
Anyway!! Cant wait for the next ep!!!!
