I lost count of how many girls are in the group now, it's somewhere over 100! (It wasn't me who requested it BTW guys!) Imagine being trapped in an AKB48 neko sleepover party - they'd eat you alive - fantastic! :D Suddenly tomorrow the pool will be twice as full, AKB48 songs taking up over half the 'requests' - all in Corey's handwriting strangely...
Here's one of the few AKB48 MVs I would legitimately recommend watching. The song title is "Bokutachi wa tatakawanai" - th-cam.com/video/BWXyDAXRY9o/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=AKB48 The song itself is alright but the main attraction in the video which goes in a dramatically different direction than this one. Ah, yes, the early days of AKB48. This is one of their most controversial MVs, probably the second most controversial one after Beginner (which was straight up banned after a couple of premiere showcases and didn't even make it to the DVD release, replaced by a Dance Video instead). Anyway, while AKB48 is indeed a pretty generic idol group overall, they have plenty of different songs and cover a lot of styles. I'd recommend checking out their heavier and more energetic stuff like River, Uza, and the aforementioned Beginner. And Give me Five, which is an actual band song Also, just for fun, you can add the following: SNH48 - Heavy Rotation JKT48 - Heavy Rotation BNK48 - Heavy Rotation SGO48 - Heavy Rotation MNL48 - Heavy Rotation Those are covers done by their international sister groups. The videos are nowhere as crazy (SNH's comes close enough, but in a different sense), but are pretty fun nonetheless.
