  • Here is a review of the Central machinery 8in ventilator fan 97762. And comparing it to a xpower 230at blower fan. This fan is better suited for industrial uses for dust and fume extraction versus tasks such as floor drying and general air movement. . .

    Used mine in a welding shop, I've had it suck up rocks when I was outside before! It really sucks! One of the best things at hf

    Friend of mine used one of these after a very minor kitchen fire, there wasn't much damage at all, only to the bottom of the microwave as it's mounted above the stovetop. Pointed the fan out the window and it cleared the smoke out in about 2 minutes!

    One tip for minimizing the gap between the fan blades and the inner wall would be magnetic strip(s) cut to size. I think I'll be using this fan and will try that

    Would this work with filters over it to clean dust from the air or would that restrict the airflow too much for the motor?

      Aubreykun yes a filter in front of the unit would work fine. 👍

      It’s probably nit explosion proof, but it should work if you aren’t spraying flammable material.

    Is this explosion resistant? I have a diy paint booth I made have a box fan bringing fresh air in but need an exhaust fan to pull overspray out. Would this be safe as exhuast or just use for intake?

      For that price it seems it would be 4X as good as your standard bathroom ventilation fans at the big box store
      Just mod the power cord to the switch
      But might be to loud

    think it would hold up blowing smoke from a forge with a vent hose from each side

    • @CatusMaximus
      @CatusMaximus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It probably would you just need to make sure that it's not getting hit with super hot air that would overheat the motor

    • @cheapshotmike1091
      @cheapshotmike1091 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CatusMaximus thanks, I was thinking 8-10 foot of vent hose between it and the hood, and then another vent hose out the door.
      if it's getting warm, i could make the hose between it and the hood longer
      should still be easier and cheaper than running double insolated pipe through the roof.

    What would happen if they're doing renovation inside a house and removing dry walls, and tiles which could contain , Lead, asbestos and silica. These machines will throw these toxic particles to the surrounding areas such as next door neighbors. It's still dangerous for people who are living nearby. Please let me know what you think?

    • @QuiK075
      @QuiK075 ปีที่แล้ว

      This would work for extracting dust but for keeping the air cleaner you need a hepa air filtration system (air scrubber)
