Namjoon can say that him and Jin are the least skilled dancers but just inside BTS. If we are talking about dancing in general, they both can dance way better than half of the world's population.
Damnn RM gained so much respect from me - I knew the dude was talented in rapping and he's always caught my eye with his presence in their MVs but for him to express himself so fluently in english just blew me away. Him talking about his inspirations and his love for music really makes me appreciate him even more. RM is the OG of BTS.
Can we take a moment to thank Robert because this interview was by far the best one they had in the US. The questions were really interesting and they boys didn't seem to feel uncomfortable. Unlike other journalists Rob actually did his research and asked music related question. I'm honestly so thankful. Also I'm super proud of Namjoon. He's doing great leading through all the interviews and his english actually improved a lot. This shows again why Namjoon is an amazing leader. I'm also proud of all the other boys for doing so well and trying to learn english. Their english improved too. About the release of an american/english album: I think Rob referred to One Ok Rock when he talked about the japanese band. I discovered them a few years ago through TH-cam and I absolutely loved their songs. Even though I can't speak japanese. But tbh I'm not a big fan of their american album...Idk why but it doesn't give away the same vibe as them singing in japanese. And I think with Bangtan it would be the same. I don't want them to release an english album just because they want to enter the american music market. I think their korean songs are great enough to do that. And I think it wouldn't sound right bc they couldn't put as many emotions into their songs as they can do when they sing in their native language. But that's only my opinion. Last but not least I'm glad Namjoon thanked all the ARMYs who translate for us international ARMYs. These ARMYs really deserve the recognition. I'm really grateful for them
Honestly it would be a big mistake to intentionally break into the US market. So many groups have tried and failed. It just would just not work with a non english speaking group like bts. Plus there's already a stigma around boy groups and they're asian on top of that. Instead they should focus on expanding the niche market of kpop in the US and creating a loyal fanbase. They could maybe be like baby metal if they play their cards right.
I know how you feel with OOR, I miss the old style like clock strikes and wherever you are. You could feel the emotion with their songs back then but now they're sort of flat if you know what I mean. So yea I hope BTS keeps doing what they're doing too :)

most US interviews are like oh look you guys are so cute, look you won the social artist award as a non American, and then just asking silly questions but no interest for them as artists. This interview on the other hand was phenomenal.
I can't stop staring at JHope's long, slim dancer's legs. They're absolutely gorgeous especially @7:02 onwards when he crosses them. I know he's not the tallest member (I think he's only 5'10"), but his physique just looks so long, lean, and willowy like a supermodel.
I really liked this interviewer, he actually did research and asked cool questions about them, their art and the process behind it. Hope to see him in another interview with BTS!

I wish people would stop making fun of BTS, saying that they don't understand English or just nod because they don't know what else to do. English is my second language and while I don't speak it perfectly, I completely understand it when it's spoken. I nod to make sure the person talking know I'm listening, just like BTS. Those "dazed" looks on their face is because they are concentrating on the tone of the speaker's voice and listening intently to the questions. I know it may come to a surprise to you guys but a lot of English learners can't grasp the language easily. Stop dumbing down BTS to laugh at them or make yourself feel better. They work so hard at everything and I'm proud that their English has improved so much. Also, stop invading BTS's privacy. They said it nicely but I'm sure they're serious about the topic. They need time away from us too. This interview was well researched and informative. I like it more than their other U.S. interviews.
My first language is English and I still have the same look on my face when listening to people. I always nod so they know I'm listening. They may not be able to put perfect sentences together but they definitely understand a lot more than people realise. Most people struggle speaking languages because of grammar, but put a bunch of words they know together and they understand it.
bunkook People / ARMYs always say "they need to learn English more" but then go "look at their faces, they don't understand. It's like me when I'm blah blah." to be edgy and get likes/retweets. But have they considered the fact that BTS is a lot smarter than they think? Or do they want to put BTS in this airtight bubble so they can make fun of them and not have to see BTS as human beings? Someone can say that I'm too serious about this, it's not "that deep" but I'm so tired of all these comments repeating the same thing. Be proud of BTS for conquering a 2nd language in their 20s. Honestly this is probably my favorite English interview, the interviewer obviously knew about them and he obviously knew what they were talking about and he didn’t ask dumb questions. He asked questions about their style and their way of doing things, he didn’t ask dumb, generic questions

Yeah. Some fans think its insulting or selfish to want kpop groups to learn English but it would actually help their careers. Its not just about America, English is spoken in many Asian countries. They can still sing in Korean, but being able to speak English would help them become worldwide artists.

I know it may come to a surprise to you guys but a lot of English learners can't grasp the language easily.
Stop dumbing down BTS to laugh at them or make yourself feel better. They work so hard at everything and I'm proud that their English has improved so much.
Also, stop invading BTS's privacy. They said it nicely but I'm sure they're serious about the topic. They need time away from us too.
This interview was well researched and informative. I like it more than their other U.S. interviews.

My first language is English and I still have the same look on my face when listening to people. I always nod so they know I'm listening. They may not be able to put perfect sentences together but they definitely understand a lot more than people realise. Most people struggle speaking languages because of grammar, but put a bunch of words they know together and they understand it.

But have they considered the fact that BTS is a lot smarter than they think? Or do they want to put BTS in this airtight bubble so they can make fun of them and not have to see BTS as human beings?
Someone can say that I'm too serious about this, it's not "that deep" but I'm so tired of all these comments repeating the same thing. Be proud of BTS for conquering a 2nd language in their 20s. Not many people have the guts to do that or speak it on National TV.

He seemed so worried that he couldn't translate as suga spoke. That he was just going to keep talking and have to do it afterward but it was fine. Even the interviewer was great about it. He does not understand Korean but he engaged in listening to Suga very well so I think RM realized it's alright

Honestly this is probably my favorite English interview, the interviewer obviously knew about them and he obviously knew what they were talking about and he didn’t ask dumb questions. He asked questions about their style and their way of doing things, he didn’t ask dumb, generic questions

Yeah. Some fans think its insulting or selfish to want kpop groups to learn English but it would actually help their careers. Its not just about America, English is spoken in many Asian countries. They can still sing in Korean, but being able to speak English would help them become worldwide artists.
