one major issue I have with the freeze mechanic is the RNG component of it when it's not used in a pure freeze build - either you freeze some useless filler/support item on their board for 5 seconds and lose or you freeze their primary damage/scaling item and win. I get that RNG is a part of the enjoyment and this is a RNG-heavy game, but freeze is just too much RNG imo. i think most if not all freeze items/skills should have some target restriction similar to Beta Ray only freezing small items - to reduce the RNG, make freeze easier to balance and open design space for more freeze items. stuff like "this item only freezes burn items" or "this item only freezes weapons".
