Tashi Delek, and thank you to the amazing team work 🙏What a beautiful film about the tibetan People. As a german buddhist and disciple of His Holliness the Daila Lama I am praying for a free Tibet
Dolpo No man land in Past but now still continue holding Tibetan roots, Awesome Tibetan actors, lode la words blessful & lucky wearing High Tibetan Buddhist Scholars or Rinpoche antique attires & asking forgiveness for Rinpoche before sitting on the throne as an Actor, Tibetan compassionate Hospitality at Dolpo, Dharla Tenzin emotions expressing fund raising for the treatable Young Deaf boy, Sonam expressing emotions & hope to go back Motherland, Thinley expressing Heartly thankful for all Dolpo & Director learned Tibetan Buddhism specially for the film. Really mind blowing & we All Tibetans must preserve our Rich Tibetan Culture & must shout out for all the Brilliant young Tibetan actors. Congratulations,Tashi delek & sending all love to the team 💐🙏✌🏻💗🙌
It's so embarrassing to see Tibetan people trying say the movie belong to their Tibetan Nationality. You guys are same people who look us Himalayan people as inferior to you. Dolpo like any other trans Himalayan region have many Tibetic community who are citizens of Nepal , Bhutan and India , that doesn't mean they are Tibetan. Get a life guys
Wishing you the very best for your movie . Your hard work and effort of your extreme dedication . Specially sonam Topden . You change your whole look . Your hard work paid off my friend . Once again congratulations for your nomination in Berlin Film award .
I love the fact that Loten La is with these young generation which is very crucial, transmitting and imbibing our values along with their horizon and talents. Big congratulations to all the Shambhala team. Will sure watch it and contribute to the little cute one too. 🙏💫
It brings immense joy to see a glimpse of these young, talented, and incredible artists.
This would be a great documentary on what is surely an excellent film. It is nice hearing Tibetan Nepali and Chinese spoken but very few in the Walest speak those languages. Please consider rereleasing this with subtitles or English and other western languages spoken over the cast. I am glad the actual movie will have subtitles. I am Zen mostly but have been studying Tantric Buddhism and the Guru Padmasimbhava and love hearing about Tibetan and other Himalayan cultures.
Hello, Kata la! I have known you from the very beginning of this journey of Aha moments. You saw the vision, and it is proceeding in the right direction. Today, you are one of the prominent figures for interview sessions. Super proud of you for bringing such authentic content. Keep it up. Stay happy and keep exploring more. Thanks for the interview. 'Shambala” seems grand but be like a very rooted film. I would love to go for the screening.❤ kudos to entire team
Respect & appreciation to all the artists. Tibetans should support this young boy, if possible donation call should be nade on Nepali social media plateforme also since it will reach out more people. Tibetan are very small number. Congrats 🎉
A very interesting and warm conversation between BK and Tibetan casts of the film called Shambala. Though Shambala is a Nepalese film, judging by the nature of the film a more appropriate lebal should be a Tibetan film- the casts, the story, language and culture & religion of the place. The nationality of the director and legal status of Dolpo don't prevent the film being called a Tibetan film if the director wants. One can understand why he called it a Nepalese film.
Be grateful Tibetans living in Nepal got chance to play in Nepalese movie instead of claiming it as Tibetan movie. Just because Stallone plays in Bollywood movie does not make it Hollywood movie. director is Nepalese, shooting done in dolpo Nepal. Culture and tradition , story belongs to dolpo region of Nepal and they speak khaam very similar to Tibetan language but not same. There are many ethnicity in Nepal that speaks Tibetans or closely related to Tibetan language but are Nepalese. Even Sonam Topden has mentioned on Nepali podcast it is dolpo local language not Tibetan language even though is very similar.
Kudos to the movie's success. It is good to learn that all the actors paid attention on the dialects spoken as uniform unlike Caravan. thank you for sharing. It would be really nice for the actors to get educated in buddhist philosophy related to the movie story plot as people tend to ask that question a lot. It looks bit embarrassing to not know the deeper meanings of Buddhism specially related to one's roles. I would advise new movie makers not to be a copycat but come up with your own original stories and bring actual professional technical experts. We have a lot of stories to tell, but the trick is to be a great original story teller, script writer and we have selection of good actors now.
Absolutely agree with you. I got second-hand embarrassment when the cast member couldn't answer a simple question about buddhism and its connection to this movie. I guess it's different with the younger generation or they got too nervous to answer in English. They still have time to practise more behind the scenes and hopefully they will. It's a great opportunity for us Tibetans or Nepalis or overall Himalayan people to relay the message of Buddha's and His Holiness' teachings. I haven't watched the full movie yet, so just trying to read through the trailer only. I thought the climactic moment was when the baby was conceived and one husband said we need to protect the life no matter what or who. So I thought the message was about loving kindness and respect for human life. Maybe I am reading it wrong. And then when the director, Min, started answering this question, he got into all metaphysical and philosophical reasons. So the cast missed the opportunity to answer from a cultural or simple Buddhist point of view. Oh well. Hopefully next time! Overall, I am super proud of this movie and the cast and can't wait to watch the full movie.
Whoever the actors are and whatever their ethnicity is , remember this isn't a Tibetan movie , the director himself is Nepali and even though actors may have been born somewhere else they majory grew up in Nepal . Nepal is densely composed of Tibetan Nepalese and that doesn't make them Tibetans instead of Nepali .🙄 It is true that it reflects Tibetan ethnicity but that doesn't make it a Tibetan film , it is proudly and officially a Nepali Film as many Tibetans reside since ages in Nepal and the movie was shot totally in mesmerizing landscapes of Nepal . Pls don't discard others efforts claiming as one of yours . All the best for "SAMBHALA " and Nepal .🇳🇵🇳🇵
Tibet and Nepal has shared history, folk tales and trade routes " since the ancient times" . PRINCESS BRIKUTI of Nepal married Tibetan Emperor Songsten Gampo in 600 AD. So let's not call the border area as Nepal-China boder. It is Nepal Tibet border " since the ancient times"
Yes , I am Bhutia from Darjeeling. This movie absolutely is Nepali movie. It's a story of Nepal , it's produced by Nepal , it's certified by Nepal. It's so hilarious and embarassing that Our Tibetan siblings wants to claim these movie lol 😂😂, But in other days these same Tibetan people look down on us Himalayan people.
Wonderful cast and great interview… saw the last piece. Congratulations and looking forward to watching it. It would be wonderful to support the Dolpo boy in need, by the Tibetan viewers.

Why is Tibet called China?
