Its tough to be a female in a society like mine but even tougher being a female filmmaker This project was a very big challenge for me as i had to pull of a one man show due to dirth of female filming crew i Pakistan. Nevertheless, it was a great learning experience, just wish more n more organizations contribute towards empowering women in our region
I think women empowerment will come through education. The essence of getting an education is to achieve the realization of their (women) rights in society. An illiterate person never knows about her rights, whereas the earning comes latter then this realization, which is also mandatory. I will recommend please see and understand the environment of Malaysia to understand the women empowerment in any Muslim state, I think here women are more active and participate more than a man in every field of life.

I know about Malaysia. I've lived in South Korea so I know what you are talking about. Alot needs to b done in Pakistan.
