Cicadas are all over the south of America. I can't imagine life without the sound. It means summer is here! That and lightning bugs❤. I'm so glad to hear Greece had them, too❤
I can’t believe that you have to go to a physical location to pay bills! Until fairly recently I used to think Japan was so technologically advanced but it seems not! Here in the UK everything can be done online and paid automatically if you prefer. Every month I just check the amounts and ensure I’m paying what I should
Stainless steel is a great choice! It doesn't rust. The learning curve for me was learning to pre-heat it properly before frying anything so it doesn't stick to the pan. It's hot enough if you put a drop of water on it, it splits, dances around the pan little water balls... Kind of like mercury, the heavy metal. 😊
I have the tirtir foundation after watching Darcei videos. I use a sticky gripping primer before putting it on, set with powder after makeup and a good matte setting spray. It lasted all day.
Yes I switched out my pans this year too. I would say it’s best to wash and dry right then and there rather than letting it air dry. And to also coat with oil
This is good to know, cause after coming back from my 2 week trip there I really want to find a way to live in Japan hopefully in the next like 4-6 years lol we gone see how that goes. But for now I definitely plan to go back in 2026 cause i had such a fun time and i also wanna do my own thing as well
I used to work at a cookware store one of your best friends in order to keep this willing pan clean is barkeepers Friend. It’s one of the better pans. Stainless steel can be a little tricky to work with, but it’s really good.
My electric bill ranges from ¥2000 - ¥4500 depending on the season, it hardly goes above that. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment in Nagasaki. It’s interesting to so see what other people pay in and around Japan for electricity…
If you like lemon juice in ramen you should try chinese sauerkraut ramen. It's more on the sour side, and it's my favorite ramen! It's usually purple packaging in grocery stores. I wish I could include pictures for you.
Oh gosh yes! Please ditch the Teflon! It's so bad for you! I've been cooking with stainless steel for years. Quality stainless steel won't rust. That's the way to go! Thanks for all of the monthly expenses insight! I do plan to move to Japan eventually - so that's great to know! LOVE your videos! Thank you and stay well!
You finally saw the news about Teflon. Actually they been talking about it and there was even a huge article about Dupont the company that created it about it that came out right before the Pandemic. Forever Chemicals are all over our waterways. Anyway, you can stove cleaner if you accidental over cook/ burn the under side and use those green and yellow sponges or wool so you don't damage them. If you get a iron pan I get a mix bag and how to take care of them but it's best to bake them when new because they have some type of coating to prevent them from rusting.

20:18 that seems to be a problem no matter how much you spend on non-stick. I've switched all of my pots to stainless steel. There's a cleaner called "barkeeper's friend" that's amazing at keeping stainless steel spot free and shiny.
Make sure you season your stainless steel pans. Just like cast iron it needs seasoning. There are videos that will teach you how. I learned about it in an Amazon review.
