There is no other person in ANY field who has invented and discovered more techniques , procedures, and materials than Dick Smith. Literally every technique an material that we use in prosthetic makeup is something he either formulated or invented, from the way that we make the molds, to the finishing with cosmetics. He was my mentor along with thousands of others. He was the best makeup artist who is ever going to live.

He actually worked with "Max Factor" and formulated the colors for special foundations that would read correctly on both TV and for motion picture film emulsions , which made everything too red. He was the one who adjusted for that.
