I met Jackson Bostwick once years ago at a comic convention. It would be awesome to talk to John Davey and Michael Gray as well. Watched the show when it first aired as a kid. Still watch it today on DVD.

I just saw Shazam: Fury of the Gods last night and it was wicked cool that Michael Gray made that cameo. It looks like the same red and yellow shirt he was wearing too!

I was kind-a stunned that they allowed Michael Gray's character to call the title character "Captain Marvel." I realize that Marvel Comics has the copyright, so I wonder if Shazam: Fury of the Gods will get any flack over that.

Watched every ep as a kid in the 70s, and I've been revisiting the show via YT now and then. Nice to see this interview with the 2!

I met these 2 in 2019 at the Denver Con and it was amazing. I watched the TV show as a kid and getting to meet them was a real treat. I dressed up as Captain Marvel and John Davey was delighted to see my costume. Real wonderful memory for me.

Glad Gray got the gig, but he was never allowed in TV again after the show due to type casting. That truly was not a good practice, and I am glad actors have so many opportunities now with 8 zillion channels and all the social media places to get work.

No. That little short old man is the same as the huge beefy handsome John Davy. No way. John Davy was massive thick beefy and square jawed. This cannot be him! There HAS to be an error! I do not see any resemblance at all!

John Davey, or "That little short old man" is actually 6 feet, 2" tall. Mark Meyers, the host is 6', 3" and if you look at him standing next to John, they appear nearly identical in height. Just look at time index 2:15 to get a better view of his height.

I can still see John Davey. I was rather surprised at how old and frail Micheal Grey looks, compared to the handsome spunk he used to be.

Personally, I have been a big fan of the "SHAZAM!" comic book and media franchise for years and I am still angry that Marvel Comics still had gotten the so-called "rights" to the name of "Captain Marvel" for their own superhero, though well-conceived, but I feel that the name only belongs to the "SHAZAM!" franchise and it should have happened in the 1970's when DC Comics should have campaigned to keep it and not let it be taken by Marvel Comics, even though I have great admiration and respect for both DC and Marvel as well, but I also want to point out that DC Comics had made a big mistake in having filed a lawsuit against Fawcett Comics for the "SHAZAM!" comic book series in the 1950's that led to its unfortunate cancellation as well. How sad were those times indeed!
