Lee Rang is one of those characters that speaks volumes. He is so real. I cannot treat him like a fictional character. Kim Bum gave this character justice. The whole show would not be worth it if he was not in it !

I know about acting and it's really tough to play a character which his whole behaviour has its origin in a past full with sorrow, you have to be able to express with your face and voice tone a quite pain that never leaves. In Boys over flowers and The tale of nine tailed he did that so good. I hope he will be more active

His personality : he comes across as cold but thats not the real thing . He chooses to be kind and polite for the ppl he love and care. You might mistake him as a total villain and hate in the beginning but then u will know he is the TRUE HERO VERY SENSITIVE, VERY LIGHT HEARTED VERY KIND AND LOVEABLE. I’ve been looking for a place to praise Kim Bum’s acting. Tale of the 9 Tailed series were the first Kdramas I’ve watched. I don’t know if he received an award for his character but he should have. I think he would have in the U.S.. I’m so impressed by how he managed the number of personalities-emotions. I was sure his dorky teenager was a dorky teenager and then the black suit and glasses. I was a little disturbed that I liked his despicable psychopath. The scene where Lee Yeon found him and he had killed a whole village. His reaction to finding Yeon brought me to tears and then Lee Yeon had to kill him. His metamorphosis from evil to slowly caring, was satisfying to watch. I was always rooting for him.. Because I have grown sons, I think the scene where Lee Yeon had to kill him resonated with me. Brought me to tears. I’m not a fangirl. Just a Mom of 2 boys.
