Hey guys today I'm back with the second part of the most requested Emirates videos which is about the Emirates Interview and how does the process go. What kind of Questions do they ask? Here I will be telling you all the details about how my Emirates final Interview went in Sri Lanka. Stay with me till the very end and I'll share some great tips with you guys! No I was made redundant due to covid in December 2020. And sadly I could not join back.
I think my least favourite destination was Washington D.C. nothing wrong with the destination itself but the flight is horrible and the layover time is only 24hrs. Also hated long night turnarounds.
My favourites were Bangkok, Brisbane and Sydney Australia, and many of the European layovers

I have an open day soon and I’m am worried a lot especially about my height. I know that you have to be able to reach 2.12 . But is it with heels? Or you need to remove your shoes though the process ?
You need to remove the shoes. But you can lift up from your toes

Can i Still apply even though there are no assessment days in my country ,im based in Kenya, Africa and there are only 3 countries shortlisted for assessments in the entire continent and it's not like i can travel to the shortlisted country because its far similarly comparing from Dominican republic till Washington DC.

All my certificates were in English anyway. So I didn’t have to do anything extra. But I think you should get them translated.

Do you think that the airlines will hire the redundant crew first or will they start hiring newbies again?

This question is something that’s on everyone’s minds. And yet no one knows a clear answer. I wish I knew too. Because some of us still have a glimpse of hope that we might be called back. However IF we are called back they might not call back everyone. For example they might put a age restriction.
When our contracts weren’t renewed, there was no 100% clear answer if they would take us back or not. But for some redundant crew they were told that they won’t be called back. It’s a mix of circumstances. It’s all a big “maybe”. Airlines might give first preference to the crew with experience..
Or
On the other hand airlines might just want to take fresh faces. Sometimes taking people with fresh minds is easier for them. And airlines would like to keep their crew young and energetic.
So it’s really a question that we don’t have a clear answer to yet. It’s just a wait and see game for everyone. For the ex crew and for all the new people waiting to join. We will only know for sure when the airlines need more crew again. 💗💗

@@michellefernandes9268 I can tell for sure that even IF they call back some of the laid off crew, they are definitely NOT going to call back 100% of them..
It might be like 25% of the laid off crew. The percentage is going to be low. That’s something I’m quite sure about.
So there might be more chance for someone completely new.
That being said we all would have to wait a bit more and see. I think by the beginning of next year some airlines would start hiring again. 😆😆

I’ve a question if u don’t have a work experience how you got selected for emirates because as far as ik they do require 1 year of work experience in hospitality or customer service. I am really confused at this point

Hello , I applied they shortlisted me and I did hirevue interview and they told me that they will get back to me but it has been two months since they told me that they will get back to me , so should I consider it as a rejection or not they will contact me.thank you

Depends on how big the scar is. If it’s very small it won’t be a problem

☺️☺️ I had the accent since my childhood. Since after I came back from Papua New Guinea.
And growing up because I watched sooooo many American tv shows and movies, it probably helped with the pronunciation of words.
After I went to Dubai., yes., living with an English flatmate for 6 years definitely made me pick up a little bit of the Manchester accent., 😂😂
And a little bit of the Irish accent here and there.
But for the most part this is the accent I’ve had since I was small ☺️☺️☺️
