In this unique walking tour 4k 60fps video, we are presenting a tradition-rich holiday resort village of Arosa, located at the end of the romantic Schanfigg Valley at ~ 1800 m above sea level in the Graubünden canton of Switzerland. With its impressive range of mountain peaks all around, Arosa Lenzerheide is just as attractive for extended hiking tours in summer as it is in winter, offering a great variety of snow sport activities.
Arosa is very sunny and to a great extent sheltered from strong winds. As there is no transit traffic, the air is particularly pure which is why Arosa has been a famous Alpine health resort since 1877. (source: www.myswitzerland.com)
Arosa is accessible by SBB Railways from Zurich or by car across over 365 serpentines and through several tunnels.

Thank you very much for this video. Excellent quality. I spent a short time visiting Arosa many years ago and have wished many times to return. Obviously a lot of building and expansion from the late 1960s! Still stunning; open mountainscape almost like a giant bowl, bright, pristine.

Thank you for such a wonderful video, seeing snow has become a rarity today. I am from Novi Sad and Fruška Gora (Serbia) and there is no snow at all this winter and the question is whether there will be any, everything has started to bloom, the wheat is like in spring and that's not good! We had an abnormal drought this summer and it's all a consequence of climate change! That's why I admire to see some snow in the Alps, since I heard that the Alps are also lacking snow this year..

Thank you for another absolutely superb video! Bearing in mind the current (Jan 7th) lack of snow crisis in the Alps, when exactly was this video taken?
About 7 years ago I visited Arosa on New Year's Day. I was able to walk ON the lake! I suspect that global warming means that walking ON lakes is a thing of the past!
One correction. The railway up to Arosa from Chur is run by Rhatian Railways. You take the SBB IC3 standard guage Intercity from Zurich to Chur. The Rhatien line from Chur to Arosa is metre guage The first two kilometres run, like a tramway, along the streets of the city.
