It's a personal thing. I like the Neumann. They both sound good. It also depends on what you are using it for. When recording it's more important how it works with the other tracks. Live, it's more of what works with your voice. Hope that helps guide you.

Its only for live, we have own own studio mics for recording. Its for classic Rock, my voice is neutral in timbre in the mid range but bright in the high ranges. I currently have a 835 capsule on a Senheiser radio mic, or it could be 845, either way, it does deliver my voice very well, and captures the crispness and breathiness when I need it. But I was thinking of upgrading, wanted something with the same air, but a punchy bottom end, and maybe a tad more feedback rejection, although it's not something I suffer from often, it's usually the guitarist who sets off the feedback, he insists on having the mic pointed down, 😮, so given what I've said, which one do YOU think is best suited? What's best the Neumann kk205 capsule or the Sennheiser e965? I've heard the e965, and its rich, deep but crisp and airy. So which should I choose?

We have that microphone but we have it with the e835 capsule what does everybody think about that we like it
