If the bag is not up around your neckline it doesn’t matter what your colors are!
thanks Ellen!!
I 100% agree! A bag isn't near your face so if you like a color, keep/buy it.😊🌻
Jess this carmel bag is beautiful, definitely has to stay❤❤
Exactly - if you wear an all-navy outfit, that pop of caramel will look fantastic in the overall look :))
@@svatisingh1 Precisely what I was going to post! Also that bag will go great with deep red, and burgundy.
The age declutters too. I sold most of my bags from my 30s when I hit over 40. Over 50, I realized I didn't need so much. The camel Hermes is actually a perfect bag for over 50, money and elegance. The hot pink colors, mmm not so much, they just scream tacky old lady 😂. Jeffree was leaving LA and moving to a place where he has nowhere to go wearing all that stuff.
I hear ya, recently turning 50 our mindset is different. I’ve decided a few years ago to start gifting my adult daughters my luxury bags, fashion & jewellery. They are very appreciative & that makes me happy.
The whole point of having a collection is that you enjoy experiencing it. It looks like Jeffree Star’s collection lost its appeal for him so he was able to let it go for new experiences. You should judge your bags by whether you enjoy them. If you don’t particularly enjoy a bag, you can let it go and trust that there are better bags out there for you.
i always admire your thoughtfulness and willingness to examine yourself. It's really hard to lowbuy when one has a "collector" personality (as I do, and i think you do too).
totally!!! Cant help but want to gather knich knacks and things 😂!!🌷
Also, the colors we love at one point in our lives, change. I used to have almost a goth wardrobe, lots of black and jewel tones. Now that I’m older, I have very little black and prefer softer colors.
true!!! Who knows how we will be in another 10 years!!
Hi Jess, I really love listening to you talk about selling and buying with emotions. I am exactly the same. Last summer I was very sick and sold everything almost in panic because I thought no material things matters, I only want to have my health back. Then 6 months later when I was well again I regretted selling everything. Items however are just excess, pretty items for fun. You realize that when you have a true health problem. I am spending a lot of time thinking about this and sometimes feel that items (bags clothes) kidnap my brain.
Yes, I have bought a bag on impulse. On Good Friday in 2021 I was picking up a blanket and the SA told me to come into a room and he showed me a small black bag(it appeared someone returned it) that was available for sale. I asked "What is it?" and he stated "A Kelly mini". I had never seen the bag before & with adrenaline running high, I bought it. On the ride home I wondered, 'what the heck did I buy? why did I just spend all this money on a bag I never heard of?'. When I arrived home I researched the bag online. The bag was actually a Kelly Pochette in swift leather. I sold it the next week(made a profit).
I’m so glad that you’re feeling and doing better Jess! That’s really the most important thing. I love Jeffrees new look on life. I think he’s realizing what’s really important in his life.
same!! I love seeing how people change and learn in life! It's very refreshing to see
Your bag collection is functional, beautiful and diverse. I really think you shouldn't get rid of any of them.
I think the colour matching is a great way to downsize your bag collection, it’s a perfect way to find pieces that suit you best. What you’re thinking absolutely makes sense, in my personal opinion
What I’ve learnt in my fifties, letting go is part of the process of personal growth. Whether it’s love, relationship, work or material things. Shopping is my therapy & always will be, the mindset however has evolved. No more fast fashion, being intentional will sustainable pieces instead, items that will last a lifetime. Balance is key & everyone’s different & that’s ok. Find our happy because we only live once, never regret the choices we make, it’s the reason we are who we’ve become today, hopefully better & wiser! Cheers!
For me when I'm not feeling well my thoughts are unreliable. So I've learned to not make any sort of bug decisions or changes until I feel better. Works a treat!
I think the caramel brownish shade is great on you and with the grey sweater a Reilly in the colours that suit you well from your chart
Important video. Smart to ask yourself why the desire to sell. If not mentally ok ... def not best time to sell. Or buy.
Hi Jess, I totally get you and where you are coming from! You are a handbag lover and enthusiast and it's natural to feel like wanting to buy more and going FOMO over bags and accessories. I have been going FOMO, overdosing and going down the rabbit hole of Fendi charms and buying them up 👾🙈 watching your video makes me feel so much better that I am not the only one who also feels like that sometimes.
So glad you’re feeling better Jess! I think that each person needs to do whatever it is that will make them happy at any particular time. I know people are posting all about their “downsizing journey” blah blah. And documenting it for all to see. Some I think are sincere and some not so much. But you need to do what makes you happy. Firstly you do have quite a few bags (all gorgeous) but you don’t really have so many that it’s an over abundance imo. I think you have a pretty normal number by a lot of normal bag lover standards.and you don’t have a large room full of bags and luxury clothes. So many that are posting their downsizing had been consuming a lot more than it appears you are so the situation is different. But ultimately we each have to own as much as makes us comfortable. And let me reiterate. As others have also said you don’t wear your bag, shoes, belt, pants around your head near your face. As long as they are harmonious with whatever you are wearing up top I think they would be fine. We should buy things that put a smile on our face.
Thanks Pappy! Yes I have slowly decluttered things and clothes every year but I suppose I never documented it!! right now I have a managable collection of bags and clothes!! When My cupboard starts busting I have to declutter!! same when my bag shelf gets full 😂 I agree with the colour thing too🌷
I love one of Jeffrees Chanel bags in this video. I'm glad you're feeling better Jess 🩷
Last year I almost sold my Chanel GST, I was tired of it & not really using it anymore & because I used it everyday 10 years ago it was not pristine but was offered such a great price, I thought about for a couple weeks & I am so glad I didn't! I am using it more this Spring & I realized I do love it. Just take your time & you will feel & know when its time for a bag to leave your collection.
Good decision, fashion is cyclical, a Chanel is everlasting!!
I’ve been quite low-buy this year. I couldn’t resist buying a Scanlan Theodore belt last night, as reduced price was too good to resist and I’ve got outfits to wear it with (from $450 to $53)!!!
Don’t get rid of your Hermes bags…they are beautiful and make you happy
I agree, it’s healthy to reset in your life and be mindful. Too much of anything is not good, eventually it can make you sick. I’m trying to be mindful and I do a lot of thinking before making a purchase. I’m glad you are feeling better!
we all feel ya. multiple times a yr i get the urge to sell, get rid of it all and buy x. then I calm down. and the urge to buy and treat myself goes nuts. It does help to step away from it all and then I'm calm.
Having watched Lydia Millian, I am now wondering if I should be matching my bag with my shoes and/or belt?? I have some bright bags, and struggle with styling them.
Well done so far. You're close to the 6 months mark! Don't give up
Colour Analysis Studio is great, they have a TH-cam and they’re based in Melbourne
So glad you're feeling better, lady!!!! 💖
I look at bags alll the tiiiime. You're not alone. I don't think about selling but I am obsessed with finding the perfect missing pieces....
hehe yes!!!! I think next bag from me is constance, kelly or birkin hehe😜
I've sold a few things lately which I'm really happy about. I'm often conflicted about selling my pieces, but once I decide, then that's it!
You buy what makes you happy. Life is for living your way. I'm happy to babysit any of your bags you are unsure of. 😉😘🤗🤗. Hope you are feeling better x
HAHHA thanks Sandra!! if I need a bag babysitter I will call you 😜
Yes yes & yes, self love is non negotiable! Happiness is Gold!
Thank you for sharing Jess! ❤
Covid messes with the brain!... P. S. I actually love that Jypsiere bright green on you!
Jess I impulse bought a unit sight unseen when I had COVID last year. Covid really does a number on your brain. Don’t beat yourself up about it.
It would go really well on Jessie with burgundy an all burgundy winter outfit that's minimali/streamlined would be great. Or with navy, the same concept. JIMO
Hi Jess, I hv only ever broken even and lost money more often when selling. I sold as some bags did not work out and there was something not quite to my taste hence I rarely used it but like I sd when I did that I lost money hardly even half of what I bought it for mostly lv s. Now after 10 yrs I hv worked out how I use my bags... Like for running ard aka everyday, part time work, travel and going out. I prefer to hv a minimum set of bags by for me that is ard 12 bags so I hv a variety that I can choose from. I now still look at bags but if they serve the same function then I just look and admire I don't hv to hv everything. I also realised I am never super satisfied with any bag, so now just grateful to hv what I hv 😂😂😂
If you sell your black mini plume, let me know 😬
Yes, *condup* handbags! I'm wearing candy pink and I've been rocking my "Barbie" bag all summer long. Yes!
I have curated my collection, it feels great 😁👍
Keep one colourful and 2 neutral bags.
Do you own your home or do you rent ? Your beautiful handbag collection is amazing
Good advice 👍
I love that jumper, where is it from ?😊
There’s a cargo Birkin 35 for sale for 2000$ Canadian I want it but can’t really justify it right now I might buy it if I have someone wiling to rebuy it after I’m done with it.
FIRST! What is Trisha Paytas going to sell her Channel Birdcage next?!
OOO she has an epic handbag collection!!! haha
Have followed you and have to say I liked your collection before you switched to Hermes. Just way more interesting. The H bags that need twillys and lack interesting features.
It's your decision and whatever makes you happy 😊 ❤
That chamonix looked beautiful on you
Jess, I am glad you are feeling better. As for selling your bags, due to your coloring - - hell no ;)..Please, keep the gold Kelly and enjoy wearing them. I think it's like, who cares if it's on trend, if ya like it, and ya got it, keep it! NanZ
Oh if you only knew, i Can really relate to this.
I was influenced to get LV by a friend, but i sold it every time. Not my estetic. Im into Black minimal branding, and i agree, i think its new times now. But its good to think and feel before impulse. I just ordered a pre loved COACH Black tote. Very cheap, i cant wait. I hope its “me” but i dont know till i see it In real life. I want to Keep everything quiet and minimal but cool. ❤ from Denmark
aw lots of love from me too Sophie! 😍
@@Jessiestyle 😍
The grey sweater is fine, the main colour is grey. Don't live in colour fear Jessie!
Buy what makes you happy.
I'm pretty sure you are spring colour palette which is warm. You should get proper colour analysis done.
But a quick test to see if veins on your wrists are green (warm tone) or blue (cool tone) 🌻
So I wouldn't sell all the bags just yet 😅
.IMO she's a high contrast deep winter. However lights can be deceptive on screen. Jessie is not at her best with a makeup that is orange toned or too beige toned. It's just too warm for her and risks making her look sallow. Jessie needs a good neutral makeup base....I have a lot of opinions though...
@@deborahcurtis1385 That could be the case because her hair is cool, but there is a lot of yellow in her skin. maybe just a weird foundation or self-tanning that don't match
@@tereza5211 Yes this is my point you don't want the skin to look more yellow or to wear makeup that's too dark yellow for your skin. Tricky tricky.
Health first 👍🏻
Hi Jessie. I would love to provide a new home for your Kelly 28. ❤
I think you are no different to any of us. We all go through ups and downs and we also change. I have impulses bought and while I don’t regret them sometimes I get bored of them quicker. But I never sell bags. I just store them as I have found they always seem to come back into fashion so there is that to think about.
Geez, how many times have you have c-19???
3!
A true sneaker head would never buy LV sneakers
😮 Not the Jeffree Star collection!!!!!
All I see is hourding.
Figure out why and what it fulfills mentally for you.
Best of luck. Less is more.
Get rid of them. Out with the old, in with the new.
thanks for your thoughts Jessie Joseph!
@@Jessiestyle Jessie, i am a Jessie too, and I am also a winter. Your color pallet does not include pastels, but should. We can wear the jewel tones, but we also rock pastels. I enjoy your videos, thank you so much for posting.
I doubt all his bags were authentic.
