Kartel performed soooo many songs. He performed throughout the show. He couldn’t give me anything else. He sounded good and he was energetic. The only thing that could have improved was the live stream connection. I don’t think he prepared for all the thousands of people that were going to be watching the livestream.

I was on the live stream and honestly the beginning gave patty shop 😭😭. The production of the livestream was terrible. Constant glitching, audio issues, etc. Sumfest streams for free with no issues and then they go charge $45 for the stream for it to barely work. Not to mention Kartel calling up artists and the artists either not coming up or not coming up in a timely manner because of security or other issues. Kartel did the best he could with what he had. And yes! I saw the stage set up and immediately said this wasn’t gunna go well.
Real talk, even we he called up Eddie G and when Skeng came on they messed up the rhythm selections, as add u said artists were able to come on on call kartel had to improvise.

“Let’s be logical”: if you have a big show, and you decide to keep it while you are still recovering (still drinking and smoking) how you expect to give the audience your 💯. Performance was weak but he did deliver on 3+ hours. Also, we need to stop moving the goal post. If it was any other artist, we would’ve outright called this a flop show \performance. I think he should’ve allowed more time to get better, and all stay off media and clubs to build anticipation especially with these prices. Can’t only blame the producers, kartel wanted a hefty sum for his first show and he spoke it on ER that it would be and PPl would need to sell their possessions. You started to see this being retracted to save face when they realize tickets weren’t being sold. Also, for kartel and the producers to try and make false promises to hint that drake and other big names will be there to get people out was nasty work! I’m from the Uk and there’s no way I would have paid those prices to see Kartel even if he was here in the UK never mind booking flight to Jamaica and those extra costs I don’t think many Jamaicans understand that foreign people are having it hard. The cost of living in the US and Uk right now is crazy. People are barely surviving. Christmas and NY parties here in the UK were very quiet. As Jai mentioned if you wanted to see Kartel, you would wait and see him at Wireless which no way will be Freedom street prices. I watched the concert online and I personally don’t think it was value for money. Obviously I wasn’t there in person so my review maybe is bias. But, even if I paid the bleachers price I would have been disappointed. I think majority of the shows performances came across quite amateur. I loved the show, I gave it a 9. I was an online free watcher. It was clear proper bandwidth wasn't obtained. The feed scattered when he first entered the stage like crazy. I minus 1 for the organization of the artists, things seemed freestyle at certain moments for the flow. I felt like random people were getting a 3 minutes of fame who shouldn't have ie. Ishawna and a next random girl at the end. I felt there were more artists who we wanted to see who came on stage late who should have been apart of the main lineup ie Tommy Lee. It started off professional with an empty stage for only him and the person who was getting a highlight then it turned into a mob once Poppy and 1law arrived and it never cleared back out. The most organized set was the gyal chune era. I danced and sang like crazy. Busta rhymes had the best clarity and energy to me. Kartel prefers using a dj so the band arguement is invalid. I only wished they had backup vocals for him since he forgot alot of lyrics. Which goes into they didn't do a proper lineup for the song order. They mismanaged alotted breaks for Kartel or he didn't capitalize on them properly. When artists that he didn't have songs with came on like Busta and Shatta wale, he should have took a water break. I appreciated him giving his sons some shine. The show ended prematurely.

Standing on stage asking where an artist is, not as a type of callup but literally having no idea where they are- that's a stage management issue. You're literally in the middle of your set and a wardrobe change takes more than 10 minutes? Bruv, a good-looking stage isn't all there is to PRODUCTION.

To be honest, this statement was flawed because us as now a days fans are too die hard where if the artists do wrongs, we find ways to justify them even without the artists doing it for themselves. I was on the live stream and honestly the beginning gave patty shop 😭😭. The production of the livestream was terrible. Constant glitching, audio issues, etc. Sumfest streams for free with no issues and then they go charge $45 for the stream for it to barely work. Not to mention Kartel calling up artists and the artists either not coming up or not coming up in a timely manner because of security or other issues. Kartel did the best he could with what he had. And yes! I saw the stage set up and immediately said this wasn’t gunna go well.
Real talk, even we he called up Eddie G and when Skeng came on they messed up the rhythm selections, as add u said artists were able to come on on call kartel had to improvise.

“Let’s be logical”: if you have a big show, and you decide to keep it while you are still recovering (still drinking and smoking) how you expect to give the audience your 💯. Performance was weak but he did deliver on 3+ hours. Also, we need to stop moving the goal post. If it was any other artist, we would’ve outright called this a flop show \performance. I think he should’ve allowed more time to get better, and all stay off media and clubs to build anticipation especially with these prices. Can’t only blame the producers, kartel wanted a hefty sum for his first show and he spoke it on ER that it would be and PPl would need to sell their possessions. You started to see this being retracted to save face when they realize tickets weren’t being sold. Also, for kartel and the producers to try and make false promises to hint that drake and other big names will be there to get people out was nasty work! So all in all I would say the show was a flop because they flop themselves. Happy new year 🎊

I watched the concert online and I personally don’t think it was value for money. Obviously I wasn’t there in person so my review maybe is bias. But, even if I paid the bleachers price I would have been disappointed.
I think majority of the shows performances came across quite amateur. The promotors are not living in the real world and clearly not in tuned with what is going on economically worldwide. People are struggling! Here in the UK our last GDP has 0 growth. The tickets should have been priced affordably and aimed at ghetto people which is kartel base.

Freedom street flop to me because it was over sold, for those prices. I expected the baddest show in Jamaican history! The show looked mediocre. Bleachers wasn’t full still. I was there. Nonetheless good show
I loved the show, I gave it a 9. I was an online free watcher. It was clear proper bandwidth wasn't obtained. The feed scattered when he first entered the stage like crazy.
I minus 1 for the organization of the artists, things seemed freestyle at certain moments for the flow. I felt like random people were getting a 3 minutes of fame who shouldn't have ie. Ishawna and a next random girl at the end. I felt there were more artists who we wanted to see who came on stage late who should have been apart of the main lineup ie Tommy Lee.
It started off professional with an empty stage for only him and the person who was getting a highlight then it turned into a mob once Poppy and 1law arrived and it never cleared back out.
The most organized set was the gyal chune era. I danced and sang like crazy.
Busta rhymes had the best clarity and energy to me.
Kartel prefers using a dj so the band arguement is invalid. I only wished they had backup vocals for him since he forgot alot of lyrics. Which goes into they didn't do a proper lineup for the song order.
They mismanaged alotted breaks for Kartel or he didn't capitalize on them properly. When artists that he didn't have songs with came on like Busta and Shatta wale, he should have took a water break.
I appreciated him giving his sons some shine.

To be honest, this statement was flawed because us as now a days fans are too die hard where if the artists do wrongs, we find ways to justify them even without the artists doing it for themselves. The show was iiight. Giving all the circumstances surrounding the main act I lowered my expectations so I wouldn't sound like the many others patrons who were dissatisfied. It was definitely not a flop though.
