this song in my opinion is wook's feelings to soo. i won't deny that it has points for it to be SoSoo's song but hear me out, the chorus is mostly about failing to find something and in my opinion, its wook failing to have soo by his side or failing to have soo love him. the song also repeatedly mention, " we have to end it like this ", so and soo could have ended up tgt due to so's determination to have her and he's the king so he has extra power to change the rules but death got in the way and of course, that is not avoidable. so its somehow a happy ending if soo didn't die. but for wook, he's desperation for the throne got in the way which makes more sense. he was pressured into wanting the throne and got influenced by his sister. so, that lyric actually showed wook apologising to soo for putting his desires first. hmm, that's just my opinion hehe.
