I've grown my hair long during the pandemic and started using a headband to keep it out of my eyes. Lately I've felt a mild pain along a line on my scalp,. I wonder, could that be an early sign?

I wear my hair in a whiff like stylish look and when I style I always run my hands through the hair by my hairline. I noticed that the hair in the front of my head seems a bit thinner with one circular area a little left from the middle of the hairline being thinner than the rest Could this be a sign?
    If it helps-
The area that’s thinner than the rest has visible all time.
Never ever wore a hat, man bun, etc.
I use a styling spray to keep my hair in place
Always had “fine” hair but the front just seems thinner than usual.

It could be but could also be alopecia areata. Hard to tell without seeing it in person. Please see a Dermatologist to get an accurate diagnosis.
