portugal sounds like a song straight from the early eurovision years (it grows on me ridiculously, it’s so timeless) i see now why it won denmark was crazy underrated in the televoting (australians basically voted for themselves there lol) a lot of the songs fell flat live though (italy, greece, n. macedonia, serbia, iceland, czech republic, germany, switzerland [it was amazing in the nf, but that yellow dress ain’t it], and so much more) so it’s probably why people say it’s a weak year
I rarely agree with you but Moldova 2017 is a masterpiece and I like the Epic Sax Guy, he's one of the biggest legends of Eurovision ever. 2010 was such a robbery and 2017 was one of the greatest masterpieces of all time. 🇦🇿❤️🇲🇩

YES!!! Finland did deserved a place in the final. One the most beautiful songs ever made for eurovision. Also very pleasantly surprised you put the UK into your top 10. It was indeed a good song. But putting The Netherlands 5th? I think I must be missing something. Way too much Wilson Phillips, not to mention boring! But I do respect your opinion! I feel like 2017 is a bit slagged off because it lies in the shadow of the 2016 contest, both in terms of songs and production. While upon second viewing, it was a bit less interesting (songs 13-16 in the final was a particularly bad run), there were a number of charms it has, from the Eurovision medley with Ukrainian instruments to the interval act. And while it wasn't the strongest overall lineup, there were some good songs in this field. (I may be biased because it's the first-ever contest I've watched, haha!) My top ten (honorable mentions to ARM, PRT, UKR, ALB, and CYP. I also have SWE as a guilty pleasure, haha): 1 pt: BLR 2 pt: POL (I love this song for being so dark and intriguing, and I like Kasia's vocals in the live performance) 3 pt: FIN (I don't know why this NQed either, except it was the juries that pulled them down. Norma John actually did everything right! And I can relate having your winner not qualifying, but we'll have to wait one more year for that...) 4 pt: GBR 5 pt: ISL (I listened to this quite a bit post-contest, and I like the sonic atmosphere of it, along with the lyrics about mental health. The problem with Paper is that it didn't stand out amongst the crowd.) 6 pt: AZE 7 pt: HUN 8 pt: BEL -- I love the sonic atmosphere of City Lights. It reminds me of being in the middle of one at night, with everything blinking around you. Blanche was definitely nervous, but surprisingly, it added to the stakes of the song, almost as if she was on a wire. 10 pt: ITA -- The message of the song, along with its upbeat nature, really got to me when I first listened to it. I actually believed that Occidentali's Karma was going to win with all the hype that was going on! While I didn't mind the staging that much, it has worn off of me at times, however. 12 pt: FRA -- Requiem, on the other hand, really stuck with me. Partially because it was French (haha), but also because it combined love and death really well. The production for the revamp was even better than the original, even though the English-language lyrics were a bit forced at times. The staging was pretty, but I agree with you on it needed something more. Either way, it's such a beautiful French-pop song, filled with passion and whimsy.

Hmmm, 4K downloader has worked fine for me for all the years. there was a brief period where it stopped working completely but an update fixed that issue. I'm not sure what issue you're running into, and I haven't used a VPN for it.
@@eurovisionconnor I’ve had issues downloading certain videos from 2016 - 2021, cause I believe there is something with those videos that make them harder to download. Maybe I just need to try to download them again. Do you pay for 4K downloader or do you just use the free version (like me).

Hmmm, 4K downloader has worked fine for me for all the years. there was a brief period where it stopped working completely but an update fixed that issue. I'm not sure what issue you're running into, and I haven't used a VPN for it.
@@eurovisionconnor I’ve had issues downloading certain videos from 2016 - 2021, cause I believe there is something with those videos that make them harder to download. Maybe I just need to try to download them again. Do you pay for 4K downloader or do you just use the free version (like me).
I've paid for the personal Premium. That might make the difference.
