  • The Museum of Pinball, with over 1,100 games has permanently closed their doors, resulting in multiple auctions happening in the very near future. Originally opening in January 2016, the Museum of Pinball was host to several events over the years, including most recently a major pinball tournament known as The OPEN.

I highly recommend Next Level Pinball Shop & Museum in Hillsboro. The machines are well taken care of 100% and the owners are very nice and it’s $20 admission, over 200 pinball machines all on free play.

I think perhaps it is best locations this size are going away.
The museum was far too late in its cry for help to really organize an effort. Plus, wasn't it only open like 4 times per year? Hard to generate interest in helping someone horde games, in theory for public access, with such limited availability.
ReplayFX was similar though I think they could have saved their collection if they had bothered to actually try (instead of keeping the situation quiet until the decision was made to purge).
If the nonprofits in pinball run like this then maybe it is just safer for big events to be shows and rely on private owners to bring in the games.
Pity though, I never saw either of them.

Agreed. The remoteness of the location both made it cheaper to operate, but too distant for newly curious people to commit to going out there. They really should have opened once a month at least. Also, I never got my money back from when they cancelled an event due to COVID. Looks like I won't see that money back, so now I'm doubly sad!

Next Level Pinball Museum right outside of Portland, OR has over 200 pins, and counting, under one roof. Every pin is maintained and tended to weekly, so the level of care is 100% there. It’s probably one of the largest in the country that has that many machines under one roof that’s open to the public.

The museum in Vegas is alive and I know that’s a massive collection as well. Hopefully the big time buyers will have some plans and maybe a new place will be born at the right time. One can hope because I’ve never seen this place in California

The museum in Vegas should have a somewhat comprable collection of machines once he gets more of them out of storage and working on the floor!!!
