I like how all the other artists remembered what countries they are competing against, but Vasil remembered everyone's names. His interview skills were really top notch and he seems really nice. I wish his song was better received though.

@@ramonaheart I was thinking the same. SudBina has a meaning, is in his mother tongue, an amazing rythm and a great choreography. I like Vasil as a person but Here I stand is just not the kind of song to attract many votes and it's sad that he won't be in the final.

I didn't know Vasil was a eurofan and it actually makes me feel bad for him because he seems like a good person, chill, fun and kind, it's such a pity than he doesn't have a great song that makes him justice.

When the Netherlands hosted in 1980, they hadn't even won, the previous show. The last time the Netherlands won eurovision was 1975.
Yeah that's true but during the contest in 1980 Israel who had won last year could not host the contest so the country that was chosen to host the contest was the Netherlands so that's the reason.
In 1979 Israel won the ESC that took place in Jerusalem and they declined to host Eurovision second time in a row. So, the Netherlands accepted it.
