Lol, I spend an unhealthy amount of time practicing it mate. Plus the weather was on my side, dry, warm, no wind or rain. Perfect conditions. I reckon it wouldn't have gone so smoothly if I was in adverse weather. Thanks for stopping by mate, take care.

Great video Andy mate. That knife looks awsome. Nice job on the fire kit too. Think ill have to give that ago again soon too. Funily enough last time i did it, it was Hazel ans Hazel and worked really well. Was laughing at Rusty pinching the spindle, something Poppy would do too haha. Keep up the great work mate, atb, Matt 👍🏻

Quality viddy as usual Andy, I keep meaning to try a bow drill but I'm so lazy! Dinner looked fantastic, like you say "simple food" but tasty I bet. Cheers matey. Lee

Cheers Lee, I admit, when I first got into all this outdoor/bushcraft stuff I never saw the point in bowdrill when I had a ferro rod or lighter. But I had a crack it once - failed - and got hooked on it. Yeah the food was decent, thanks for stopping by mate. Take care.

Hi buddy, yes it's a good knife, it performs well in most bushcraft tasks. I used it for foodprep, carving a spoon, carving a bowdrill set, batonning firewood, feathersticking and i used it as my camp knife on an overnight trip I did a couple weeks ago. It has a high scandi grind which I found easy to keep sharp by stropping, I havent needed to put it on my bench stone and I've had it over 2 months. The knife company, Brisa, recommend you re-profile the edge if you want to use it for chopping to prevent edge rolls or chipping. Personally I didn't use it for chopping tasks, it doesn't have much weight for it to be a reliable chopper. Also, it has no lanyard hole in the handle, so you're unable to attach a lanyard which means the knife could slip causing a safety concern. The handle feels good in the hand, I found no hot spots with prolonged usage. I used it to carve a spoon from start to finish which I filmed a video of, I used the nessmuk knife through the whole process. If you check my Playlist menu, I have a category dedicated to the Nessmuk knife and you'll see it used in the various ways I've explained. I hope this helps, thanks for watching mate, take care.
