    This is awesome! I saw the first Hakone Special Edition in person and loved it and this new 2nd gen GR86 Hakone Special Edition just takes that to a new level. Manual is the way to go. If you just love the joy of driving don't sleep on this one if you have the opportunity to get one.

      I had to let word out as soon as I heard and you are right, they are a drivers car and manual will be the main collectors dream.

    Stay tuned, when this Hakone lands I will give a full RevView and take it to the track to put it through its paces.

    with the dealership mark ups, current state of the economy, and no added performance just aesthetics. they will not be flying off the shelves. more like they will only give 1 or 2 special edition per dealership.

      Respectfully disagree! It goes beyond mere aesthetics (though I do love aesthetics;), its coming with a re-tuned suspension as well as upgraded brake calipers exclusive to the Hakone, building on a suspension that is already brilliant. I predict they will be sold out before they ever land with the exception of the unscrupulous dealers that hold them to mark them up :(

      People are so naive, they are willing to pay overpriced for exclusive or limited editions. If it is exclusive why is a 2.0 version of hakone needed? This released just killed the value of the first hakone, lol. At 50k I can get a better sports car.

      They really are! Toyota has confirmed the 2025 GR86 Hakone will come equipped with Brembo Calipers.

      Well, think about it. Brembo is one of the best you can get. I know Toyota at one point used Stoptech as well. I don't think they would go with a cheap rotor

    Why would anyone go for this generation when Toyota has already announced that the next generation will be turbo charged?

    • @RevViewHQ
      @RevViewHQ  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The engine swap is strictly speculation right now, Toyota has not announced any official word but I will post content as soon as they do. Now IF they change the engine and platform, it's editions like this Hakone that go down in the Toyota history books and become entry level collector gems 💎💎

      @@raulcorona8643 Toyotas agreement with Subaru forbids either of the power if the engine to maintain fairly equal competitive positions.
      There is a large fan base collectivly holding thier breath that Toyota does not renew the agreement and goes thier own way by dropping the 300hp 3cyl the GRC has into the next gen. GR86.
