Investing 7.5 (2.5 + 5) lacs in 1980s stock market was a high risk. In 80s you would have purchased a large piece of land in Mumbai with 7.5 Lacs. How Rakesh managed to get this money and 18% returns is the key which is not covered in this video.
Look it's a rule ,he had a good backing to start with
He has borrowed that money from one of his client as he was a practicing CA, he had many of them, out of them one women borrowed him with interest of 18% per annum

The first step to invest huge lumpsum created a platform from him to become a billionaire. Its nearly impossible to convince anyone in 80s to invest 7.5 lacs in stocks. Rakesh never disclosed this in-details about that money.
And you know, CAs are masters in managing undisclosed income. Rakesh said about 18% returns to make a sweet story for crowd like us.
I don't think one can become a billionaire without Insider Trading in stocks.

He took the wealth from his father, but ofcourse he can't say that for he wants to be remembered as Warren Buffett of India + he is a manipulator of stock market.

It seems, the irony is common investors hardly believe in long term arrangement..equity plus cumulative dividend, whatever be it's size, for any good company grows with a pace keeping await shows bigger simile for a long; In fact, such equity holder deserves to be respected as real owner..Such lessons are not dramatic, rather a parrallel story of struggle to run even the same business in which investment got made..A rare step, hardly gets followed by mass investors in any age..

Tech Wrapped if you don't have any basic knowledge abt stock market then you should stay away from it. it's too risky even for those who have knowledge about it. Better you go for some equity mutual fund...it's less risky than investing directly in stock mkt and also give good returns.
