This painting brought me to tears and I can’t stop staring at it. It’s absolutely beautiful. It touched me on a very deep and personal level. I have been battling an aggressive disease for years and it’s taking it’s toll, I’m not winning so much these days. I know I don’t have a lot longer and I’ve often pictured the end. I don’t know how much I believe in heaven or hell that’s what I pictured it being a bird that can finally fly away from all this pain and suffering. Your painting shows me what that little bid is going to see. That’s what I want to picture in the end finally been fu*king free. I’m going to do my best to re-create this beautiful piece with your tips thank you so much I making this video.
I wish I could find the words to say how much your comment touched me. I am sorry for your suffering, but it means the world to me that I was able to bring you at least a moments peace. I can't imagine what you must be going through, but thank you for taking the time to leave me such a meaningful comment. I wish you only the best, and I hope to see your recreation sometime.
I'm sobbing reading this. My Mom had cancer for 16 years and passed away this past Saturday. She made me promise to paint her coffin and the first video I came across was this and wanted to give her freedom... I can't tell you how sad I am... How lost I am... How angry I am... But I will hopefully do my best at giving her this painting on her coffin so she can soar like the angel she is 😭💔🥺
I'm getting ready to do a skyline for a large project, and it's my first time doing this. However, this looks like a wonderfully simple way to get the cloud effects I want. Thank you for sharing!
Excellent, I always make a mess of my clouds, so I don't use them alot. Lol this is an excellent way of understanding the shadowing that makes it all work. Definatly off to give this a shot. Great tut! THANKYOU
No! It was beyond helpful. I now can make the coolest damn clouds. Just put them above a city scape. The best part is the way you explain the shadowing and stuff it can easily be done for beautiful colored nite clouds as well. Anybody who hasn't yet, if you listen closely to his shadow and details, you will not only transform your clouds from looking painted on-to light or dark, beautiful- fluffy & so much more realistic looking works. As many tuts as I've watched Ive never come across one that someone took the time to explain the missing link. SHADOW! Well at least not so it clicked, or was easily understood for those of us newbys! Im definatly keeping an eye on you, Pal! LOL This is kind of embarrassing, but there's something else I can't find. If you by chance use Montana Spray caps - they've got me a bit baffled. Just sayin! Thanks again, Ginger
Ms. Ginger I will have a go at those caps eventually. I personally do all my work with rustoleum and krylon cans using original nozzles. and sometimes I use Wal-Mart $1 white spray for misting but I find the new krylon work great for that as well. Thank you so much for the job praise also 😁 makes me want to do more slowed down and in depth tutorials.
I really love that!!! I just found out that I'm pregnant with twin girls 💜💜, and I want to paint a couple kind of gentle and heavenly pictures for their nursery room (OBVIOUSLY with a respirator on, which I have a top of the line respirator from when my bf painted water towers 😉... Just saying for any haters out there). ANYWAYS... I'm not new to spray paint art and space scenes, but it's definitely been a minute! This is PERFECT inspiration! Thank you!!!
Well you're words mean the world to me. I would love to see the end result. My Instagram is @artistic_dean if you ever wanna hit me up. And I had no doubt you wouldn't do what's best for your babies 😁😁😁😁
Artistic Dean Creations I loved it! Have you ever added angels to your clouds? I’d love to see what you can do with that idea! Loving your channel here in Australia 🇦🇺.
I have done angel art but not in spray paint. I have moved primarily into pencil work now. You can see my work and hit me up for questions any time. instagram.com/artistic_dean
Seriously I first just tried a couple of clouds and a planet then made my first picture and it was not to bad. All from watching your video. It even looks like what I set out to do.Mostly, I am amazed and excited to do more . I even got the lighting to look right. Thanks so much.
Great video. Loved the painting, it looked so easy. I paint bisque and just love it. But you make me want to try this. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great painting.
Priyabrat Mohanty thanks so much. I always love hearing that people enjoy my work. feel free to share anything you like to help me get my name out there 😉

Thank you so much for the kind words. And the like and follow. I hope you enjoy the rest of my videos and the ones to come. If you ever have questions feel free to ask
Almost like your in the tunnel to heaven that's what I thought at first lol im trying to find the easiest one for my first and I'm going to try this thank you !
This is awesome I'm going to try tonight. Can you do a tutorial on why you're changing nozzle heads on cans and how to control sprays please? I find I'm getting way too much paint globbed on poster then bleeds together. I'm not sure if it's because I'm just using default spray nozzles or what I'm doing wrong. Thank you and keep adding more tutorials please!
Kyle Sherry I mostly just use store nozzles. now for the white paint it was a $1 walmart can but the nozzle does a good low flow so perfect with shading. as for others like Rustoleum it's all about holding it the correct distance from the paper and doing bursts. if you get globs it's most likely also from not pressing the nozzle completely down. even if it's just a fast burst shot be sure to fully press the nozzle to avoid spitting paint.
Artistic Dean Spray Paint Art Tutorials thank you for your very quick response! Please keep tutorials rolling that are good building blocks on skills. I already sprayed a black canvas to dry while I'm at work so I can do this one tonight :)
This is So Pretty! And Beautiful! And you made it SO simple! I am currently making a space painting with clouds and this will be Perfect! Thank you SO Much for making this Simple & Easy tutorial! ^_^
bro this is great. I'm a beginner and been trying to figure out how to do clouds.. (the right way lol). Do you have any videos on how to do crescent moons
James Jones my best tutorial is my most recent video. It doesn't cover crescent moons but it covers A LOT of other stuff. for a crescent try cutting both ends of like a can of corn or beans and spray inside along one side of it for a quick crescent. or cut out a crescent shape stencil for a more clean lines crescent moon.
really, REALLY good work. I just took up spray paint art and have found all of your videos very helpful. My question is, when you do clouds, is your stencil touching the painting? are you spraying on the poster board and just the overspray going onto the painting? when you the straight edge for ray, is the straight edge touching the painting? same as above, are you spraying the straight edge , or on the painting? Again, thank you for your videos, i really enjoy them.
I love the specificity of your questions. First answer to all of them, I never put the straight edge or torn pieces directly on the paper. You risk spears and paint pulls, plus the little gap allows for a slight overspray and a more soft and glow effect. The only time a stencil touches the paint is if the paint is totally dry and I remove the stencil immediately. My Freddy stencil piece on her shows that but I edited out the wait times for drying.
this was amazing I love it it's also helpful cause I'm starting spray paint art but it may be tricky cause I'm a kid but wish me luck btw I love ur channel
That was a good cloud tutorial. i am new ( only put out 2 spray art's so far) and I have some questions. First, are you spraying the middle of the poster paper? Second, how do you regulate your misting? Also, I am terrible at light beams and shining stars. Any tips for me? Thank you!
Brandon Kelson yes I do spray at the middle of the poster board and misting is controlled by doing that and controlling how far away from the painting you hold the can. same concept for stars and rays
No I'm not, but just want to say I've watch quite a few tutorials and yours is by far the best explained and easy to follow. Clear instructions and hints as to make it work the way you do it. Well done video. I've been so busy lately only get to practice a couple time a week right now. I'll look into getting on instagram. Trying to fix my daughters car and in the process of buying a house plus work is kind of eating up my time. But when I do paint , its just so fun when something comes out good. One thing I just can't seem to get are making rings around planets like Saturn. Any tips?
smiley for planet rings it's just practice. Wish I could say something better but a lot with spray art comes with practice. But thank you for the compliments. Give it time and you'll see progress faster than you expect
Thanks for the help! My painting turned out great, but I need to know one thing... What did you use as a straight edge? My sunlight glints turned out curved and sloppy because I used a piece of poster board
MasterSword2000 if you're using poster board then fold it a couple times for a straighter edge. I started that way then used an old metal sign. you can also do to Wal-Mart and get a paint scrapper. they have various sizes and those seem to work very well.
MrKrenath just poster board most times. Make sure it has a glossy side to paint on so the paint doesn't soak in. This particular one was done directly on my turn table but if you are painting in other materials you need to prep them first to prevent the paint from bring soak into it
Okay, I really need your help... I'm trying this, it's my very first time spray painting. Every time I use the ripped poster board, the highlights will come out sloppy. I need you to tell me how to hit the board just right to get it looking like yours. Thanks in advance!
MasterSword2000 best advice I can give is don't let the poster board touch the painting. let it hover just above. and start by spray more on the torn paper than on the painting and gradually get more towards the painting until you get the desired effect. also try messing with holding the spray can further or closer to the poster board while spraying. It will take a few attempts. remember to keep the torn paper between the spray can and light source so it creates bright edges on the correct side of the clouds
That is the hard part. You want the poster board to hover just barely above the paper. It takes some practice. Basically the further you get from the light source the further away you wanna hold the cloud stencil to add a glow feel to it.
@@ArtisticDeanCreations very much so a compliment. I've just made it to your table video I've watched that many today lol going to keep watching and learning!

Artistic Dean Spray Paint Art Tutorials thanks a bunch! I can not find any videos for fabric techniques. I'll be trying out tonight XD This is so awesome by the way.
Brian Tagudin it makes it more if a must and makes the clouds softer as if reflecting less light as they get further from the light source. Or at least that's my thoughts
Brian Tagudin as for me I have only used rustoleum and krylon paint. To my knowledge you can use any spray paint as long as you don't cross types like acrylic vs enamel.

When you’re making the clouds, should the paper cloud outline be touching the poster?
That is the hard part. You want the poster board to hover just barely above the paper. It takes some practice. Basically the further you get from the light source the further away you wanna hold the cloud stencil to add a glow feel to it.
Nice.
Thanks
Awesome commentary dude

Basically just a blue, black, and a white

Do you spray onto the poster board for the clouds?
Slightly yes. You let the little but of overspray make the clouds
This made me squint my eyes like I'm looking at the sun. Wtf

are you using flat or gloss on your black and your white
jeremiah fletcher I use gloss for all my paints. occasionally semi gloss if they are out of gloss but that's about it.
Artistic Dean Spray Paint Art Tutorials also have you tried using a gloss black poster board instead of using black paint. what are your thoughts
jeremiah fletcher I have tried those yet. I just buy 5 packs of the 22x28 inch poster board because it's the best bargain
Amazing. I don’t think I’ll add stars to mine

I tried this on canvas that I painted with blue acrylic paint and the paint ran down the board. What's to stop the paint from running?
If you have running paint then it's most likely 1 of 2 things
Too much paint being used or can not shakin enough prior to use.
Can this be done with fabric paint as well?
christina8101 I haven't tried it personally but I would assume this technique could be used in that manner.

Make sure not too much paint when flicking and flick straight on. Any angle or top much paint will have some drag mark looks
@@ArtisticDeanCreations thanks! I’m on #5 and seeing some improvement thanks to you! ❤️
@@timshoemaker.9752 I'm glad to hear that! Took me many many attempts before I was happy with my paintings. Just takes time.
What is it that you're painting on?
And old dinner serving tray
@@ArtisticDeanCreations Thanks 👍 great video btw
Why is it that we should bring the can farther as we spray farther from the center?
Brian Tagudin it makes it more if a must and makes the clouds softer as if reflecting less light as they get further from the light source. Or at least that's my thoughts
Oh okay ^_^ now i understand thank you! Great video by the way :D
Another question, is there a specific type of paint I need or is acrylic enough? Sorry im really new at this
Brian Tagudin as for me I have only used rustoleum and krylon paint. To my knowledge you can use any spray paint as long as you don't cross types like acrylic vs enamel.
what are their differences?
Ware do you get your gloves
Reuben Craig I use blue nitrile gloves and either order them from eBay or buy at Wal-Mart when I'm shopping
how much would you sell that for?
I think I sold this one for 15 or 20
merci fantastique
Thank you and you're welcome
my clouds never come out like that. they literally just come out as a normal white spray. can’t find a single tutorial fixing this problem, any tips?
I think my paint is paint is to cheap or something it just comes out in globs and when it dries it's like the paint trys to separate
It may be that its cheap or needs to be shaken more. So cheap ones do better when warm and a little extra shake. You could also just have a bad can.

Rattle Snake yes indeed
Whats the gsm
