Examining the nature of the beast.
That clip of a bunch of them crawling out a phone port is so cursed
"You NEED to get rid of them or your daughter will have to be put on life support."
Something that no mother should have to hear. But, mine did when we had an infestation so severe that my childhood anemia came back with a bloody vengeance. It traumatized me for life and I wouldn't wish those monsters on my worst enemy.
i hope your daughter is fine now and your problems are over.
@@OanaTheMeerkat I'm actually the daughter and I'm okay now. But, now every brown bug I see startles me.
The amalgamation of madness and paranoia.
These things gave me PTSD. I never knew what a bed bug was until about six years ago when my apartment became infested. Thousands spent on exterminators and treatments which did nothing.
I once put some stuff into a storage container across town. I had a laptop bag inside an airtight tote which sat in that container for six months. I took it out one day to give that laptop to a friend, and there were still live bed bugs inside that bag.
I was eventually able to conquer them using diatomaceous earth and isopropyl alchohol.
But ever since then, every tingle I feel, every itch I feel, startles me awake and has me searching.
They made you pay for it!? Damn, that sucks! I recently dealt with a bedbug infestation in my apartment and pest control didn't charge me anything. After 3 treatments, the bedbugs finally disappeared. Somehow I still occasionally see cockroaches, despite pest control also trying to deal with them.
@@MatthewTheWanderer cockroaches eat them, so don't eliminate them...if they're are cockroaches there are no bed bugs.
@@whoswho8241 That's not true at all, lol. What the hell makes you think that!? When I had bedbugs I never saw cockroaches anywhere near them. The cockroaches stayed in their own areas (the kitchen and bathroom mostly).
I've been through some dark and traumatic things but nothing had such a soul destroying Effect like these hellspawn, super hardcore to kill, ever evolving , the stigma , the insomnia and the general disgust nearly drove me to suicide
I lived in an infestation for multiple years and it did a measure on my psyche; these things are absolutely horrible to deal with.
Got rid of them years ago and they still haunt me to this day
Agreed. I already suffer from the feeling of bugs crawling on my skin constantly. Bad Hayfever and allergies to cat and dog dander. While growing up with a cat older than my 7.5 year older brother. Plus also loving animals so it didn't stop me from shoving my face into them. Needless to say It was less common for me not to have hives.
The one time I encountered bedbugs was by far the worst itch I have ever bloody had. I found them early by luck of I fell asleep for a nap in my hoodie and found them nesting between the zipper and cloth l little latter. I was away from home so I managed to be able to save my home. But dear God I didn't need to add to it. So you have my whole hearted agreement.
Same. It took over a year after they were gone before I stopped swatting myself (in bed) every time one of my body hairs shifted.
I went full scorched earth on them for years where I am sometimes literally burning things they infested. I haven't seen a single one or any signs of them for close to a year but I'm still traumatized by the little monsters and paranoid about it. I think I finally got them all but I'm ready to go to war again at any point
The only insect infestation i've been on is fleas infestation. boy if bedbud attack when you're afk, fleas don't care shit about you, they're legit on guerilla warfare with you, they land>suck you off>then jump and gone. God i hate insect so much they're the worst.
Having to fight an infestation thinking you might have gotten rid of them just for a couple months later to get the tail tale 3 bites in a line again is just fucking awful.
I can feel every speck of dust on my body right now
I don't get grossed out by bugs, and I've seen Mark Rober make a video going over Bed Bug's and preventative measures that do and don't work, but this video made me irrationally itchy.
Same, this one makes me especially uncomfortable 😂
I think those footage shown are pretty gross.
Omg I saw that video with Mark Rober. I think that vid has about 35 million views and counting.
my family had a bed bug infestation when i was younger and it was a little traumatizing i wont lie
People underestimate how easy it is to get them, and how difficult it is to get rid of them. It’s traumatic being scared of sleeping in your own bed or being constantly woken up by the bites and itch. The phantom itch also kinda lingers after they’re gone so you don’t even feel safe
I let always one or two spiders thrive in our flat, just hoping they would predate the right pest. and now i know they do. thank you spiders.
I thought they were a myth until I stayed at a relative's house and was completely victimized by these little menaces. So much so that I was scared I had chickepox at 15 😅😅 I was covered in bites literally from head to toe and I never saw a single bug. Those bugs treated me like an all you can eat buffet, and they surely got their money's worth 😂
I hate no other creatures besides mosquitoes than the AWFUL, blood sucking bed bugs. They bring back some painful memories. 😭
We had a bed bug infestation when I was young and oh boy I hope it doesn't happen to anyone. They're so hard to get rid of.
I’d argue that both wasps and ticks should also be on that list.
@cloudyskyz2237 At least wasps kill pest bugs when farming! Definitely ticks though. I had chronic lyme that took yeeears to recover from. 😩
Politicians and lawyers along with the hated mosquitoes and bed bugs
I hate anything that sucks blood. That's my rule, and it is always in full effect.
I've dealt with them twice, the first time being a full-blown infestation that I moved to escape, and the second time caught early enough to fight and win. They're absolutely horrible and cost me a lot of sleep and sanity.
0:55 they can last waaaay longer then month. I had them in a car that was left in a hot and sunny place locked for about half a year and they survived… never again
Thankfully never experienced them... but this is a TOUGH watch!!!
How did Danielle get through that episode without scratching all over... just the mention of them and I'm itching!
I had these little fuggers for a while when I lived in the US. This was back before they become a major epidemic. Came in to our home on a bed frame we got from someone. Learned my lesson the hard way to never ever buy or accept used bed frames or bedding of any kind for any reason. Weird thing is one day they just up and vanished for no apparent reason.
I had a bad case of bed bugs when I lived in NYC..... practically traumatic. This video made me itchy and it's been YEARS since the incedent
We had bed bugs last summer. It was awful. In addition to everything else we did, I had plastic encasements on our mattress. I read that bed bugs didn't like walking on plastic so I would sleep in the middle of my mattress with just a sheet over me. It really messed with my mental health.
I hate those greedy buggers.
It's really quite disgusting when you hold one in a tissue and squish them, as it takes quite a bit of force. When the shell finally gives way, you feel it collapse (a bit like a pop) and see the tissue absorbing your blood...
Also the smell. Smells disgusting and very specific to them. I know I just killed one when I smell that smell.
I managed to acquire some bed-bug hitchhikers from a motel. It took several weeks, but Diatomaceous Earth got rid of them all for me.
Be careful with the dusty powder. Bad to the lungs.
I had an infestation that started from regularly taking busses for my work commute. Was back in 2011. Was an absolute nightmare 11:25 is very real and I sometimes still have that paranoia
That's why I developed a habit to always shake my clothes in the bathroom (with light floor tiles) when I come home years ago. Because I take public transportation too.
Whoever keeps saying you can't feel those little shites biting you is full of crap! I hate those things! I've been fighting these little shites for years omg 😭😭 I've got scars all over my arms, it's freaking embarrassing...
I’ve been taught that all animals have a purpose but I’ve not figured out what purpose bed bugs have. Unless science tells me otherwise, I think we can wipe them off of the planet without guilt. 😂 I’m so afraid of them that I try to never stay in hotels. They’re soooooooo hard to get rid of. You basically have to toss all soft furniture and tent your house. 😳
It’s better if you live in the desert, I had a pretty reasonable amount of bed bugs in my house, and I threw my couch, and my beds outside during a heatwave that had hit southern California. Needless to say it killed them, but you don’t exactly have a place to sleep of sit. 😅
Food for lizard or any small animals? It’s called the food chain for a reason
@@romella_karmeyI think that link (bedbugs) of the chain is expendable.
Same with mosquitos
Bed bugs are at least relatively harmless. They’re basically the oldest human parasite and because of this don’t transmit any diseases or parasites that are harmful to humans.
A non-chemical way to get rid of bed bugs.
Employ a few house centipedes.
Bed bugs are their favorite.
Among others like ear wigs, certain types of cockroach larva, mostly all arthropods.
No damage to your home, and they don't bite.
Yes, they look creepy.
But they are a smart bug, very discrete.
Oh really! I've never heard about that before, it's worth a try but it's a toss up between the 2 of them. 😅
House centipedes!? Absolutely not!
Centipedes and spiders are my favorite kind of pest control.
I had that problem in Calgary, Canada. They hate lighting and active only in dark. It takes months to recover from mental effects like u constantly feel they areon your skin!
Food grade *Diatomaceous Earth* is a pet safe alternative way to stop a bed bug problem. Within a couple of days the active population will collapse and in 4 to 5 weeks all the remaining adults and eggs will no longer be a problem.
Have fun and be safe Animalogic and friends
Its also very useful for getting rid of fleas! Sprinkle into carpet, wait awhile and then vacuum while playing loud music. Repeat every few days. Its also not recommended to directly apply diatomaceous earth to animals.
Yarp@@jessthegardener , I hope people will look up the steps they need to do and follow them :) I didn't want to write a wall of txt across 3 posts
@@jessthegardener Also wannna add: Do NOT use a regular vacuum to suck up the dust. It WILL kill your vacuum cleaner. It has to be an industrial vacuum.
The word your looking for is: diatomaceous earth
I have the unfortunate situation of living in a super super cluttered house, with bed bugs, and a dad who is absolutely opposed to getting professional help of any kind under any circumstances unless it's something he is absolutely incapable of doing himself (like rebuilding a collapsed property wall or repairing a collapsed garage door).
We empty a room of heat-affected items, blast the room with 140°F heat for 8 hours, and it keeps them in low numbers for a few months before they come back full force. A couple of our rooms, such as the family room, are so large and have so little insulation that we can't get them up to temperature even in the summer. I hate it.
1. Change bed
2. Change mattress
3. Change bedding
4. Put dishes of soap water under all legs of the bed
5. Enjoy your good night sleep while they drown
I had bed bugs around 2017 and ended up moving. I froze everything I owned for several weeks to get them off of my clothes and things. They were horrible little beasts.
I love the photo at 2:48. Supposedly about bedbugs, but is actually of a guy in his bed with a snapping turtle on him.
Good catch!
Watching this immediately before going to bed. So now I know it's delusional parasitosis that'll be keeping me awake tonight. I should have just watched a horror movie.
I had bed bugs twice in my life.
The first time was maddening, the second time was also maddening, but i did lots of experiments on the ones I caught. The longest one went without food was 90 days. They can go a few days completely oxygen deprived and dont seem to mind 1cm of water for the first day. They eventually drown, but that isnt for a couple days after the initial placement.
These things are worthy of respect, BUT are not worthy to share a bed with me. My standards are a little too high for that.
One thing I really admire about them, is their inability to spread blood borne pathogens. They're one of the few ectoparasites that actually have tact and manners... for the most part.
I really love the diversity in the hemiptera order.
Assassin bugs, shield bugs, giant water bugs and cockroaches all belong to the same order. Each wilder than the last.
Also, can you pretty pretty please, do a video about horntails, specifically the pigeon tailed tremex, I absolutely adore those behemoth hymenopteran progenitors.
Had a seizure after getting chewed on all night at a homeless shelter. A 2 week pyrethrin bath has done the trick, but heat works the best.
Mark Rober has a really good video about bed bugs and preventable ways, things like using dehyrdating powder.
Diatomacious earth is great.
Yes it works, provided u detect the infestation early
Always loved your sketches like explorers of old
Got them too couple of years ago. Fortunatelly I cought them quite quickly and immadietely called a specialist. But for next 2 years I was triggered every time I had an itch.
This is one of those videos where your mind betrays you and keeps insisting you need to scratch.
Oh God I'd kiss a cockroach 20 times before I deal with bedbugs for one more day. Horrible critters. This video made me cringe so much from past experiences. We had them in our house for MONTHS. tried so many different online solutions and sprays. A mattress cover and constant monitoring is the only thing that saved us from them. The bites are so itchy and last for so long.....it's miserable.
She needs to narrate more things. I could listen to her all day.
I saw one bedbug in my hotel room in marseille absolutely freaked out searched the entire bed but i think it was only one juvenile which hitched a ride from the previous occupant of the room. That school trip was really fckd from the beginning
I have always had sensitive skin but after I got bit by two bed bugs it got so much worse. I can't use dryer sheets, fabric softener, most body wash (I use this fancy goat's milk soap that makes me sound like a snob when I talk about it), and some lotions/sunscreens will leave me with a sensitive rash for the rest of the day. I hate these things with a passion and am known for my "everything in the world has a purpose" mentality but would gladly Ctrl+Alt+Del them out of existence.
Bedbugs really don't seem to have any redeeming qualities at all! Unlike mosquitoes, I don't even think they are food for other animals, since they mostly live in human dwellings. So, they only rarely get eaten by spiders or centipedes, for example. I had itchy arms and legs for several months earlier this year because of these nasty things.
Should've put this one up at Halloween..
This is why I don't kill or remove predators in my house. Spiders, centipedes and those little ones with a straw for a mouth that walk really slow; they're safe at my place 👍
I was trying to finish and post this before the video ended but didn't make it, then TH-cam decided to jump to a Sarah Pascoe comedy vid and ended up posting it there. I doubt anyone would see this, let alone on that Pascoe post, but I bet it would have been confusing lol
I had them guys. I managed to erradicate them with lots of vacuuming, cleaning and compressed air cans (use gloves, flip them and spray everything with the freezing liquid). Had to cover up every night when I went to bed, even my face. Stored clothes in plastic bags, even my laundry. Also spread diatomaceous earth on the floor. I’m glad they don’t transmit diseases.
A year ago my aunt had to throw away her entire bed because of those, and a week ago my sister was literally a constellation from all the bites she had on her body, we got to find their nest under her bed, threw that wood away and now is all good luckily we didn't need to throw away the bed this time, but it took a good two weeks to find out of where they were coming from 😨
The first thing being like "Which of these is a bed bug"
And I was just like "That's an assassin bug, That ones a roach... Pretty sure that one is a louse"
I have had faced pretty bad thungs in life but the only time i had mental crisis was because of bed bugs.
Correction: bedbugs can live almost an entire year without a blood meal.
There used to be a law in the US that all used mattresses, upholstered goods and bedding had to be sterilized before being resold.
The lack of enforcement of this law has much to do with the current bedbug epidemic.
That and how they travel on material. So modes of transportation (yes, even carpooling), movie theaters, used mattresses out for the trash that people will pick up and use, and hotels/motels are huge problems that contribute to their survival.
I knew the one month ting sounded off. There's no way it's just a month they can without food.
@@Velvetx4cove And the fact that they reproduce asexually, so you only need one!
@@Velvetx4cove- I've seen information that they can live up to 400 days without feeding, and that someone succeeded in keeping a few bugs alive for three _years_ under laboratory conditions. Sheesh! 😲
I literally was waking up every 1-2 hours last night, constantly picking these critters off of me.
I had bed bugs in my old house, I got rid of it by using diatomaceous earth powder and steaming my bed every night that gets to around 115-120 degree. Also wrap your bed with a bed protector, the one with a zipper.
It took me about 4 months to get rid of it all by doing all of that and when you do those routine you might be able to sleep better.
Dealt with them multiple times while travelling between hostels. Remember even if you cover up everything they just end up giving you a hickey. When it comes to dwellings it's a bit like Alien - either you gotta kill the queen or burn the whole place to the ground. As for personal belongings like clothes, washing isn't enough, you have to put them into an industrial dryer at the highest setting, occasionally multiple times - and throw in a microfibre towel or two - whichever ones survive will cling onto the towels. Everything else you gotta be willing throw in the garbage.
Bed bugs don't have a queen
@@andrewdescant
I guess in this instance, the "queen" would be the nest itself.
I think most memory foam beds are resistant to bedbugs. I know Temper-pedic beds are. I've had some near misses with bedbugs. I also use food grade ditinatious earth around my home to keep ants and roaches out.
This is a dark one! 😢 Thanks Danielle. ❤
Someone in my apartment had bedbugs, tossed the mattress and couch and everything, and someone took the infested furniture home to use
Danielle is the only person I've heard who's voice is so soothing to listen to, even when she's talking about shiver-inducing species like bed bugs, I still feel safe and relaxed.
I had an infestation in my last apt and they were so awful and bit so hard and often that I actually wasn't able to sleep for a couple days until I just left and told the landlords to figure it out. Came in from the next door apt that they didn't seal well enough before fumigating. Scuttled straight into my room.
My exterminator coming from another bed bug call just to drop more bed bugs around.
I’ve been WAITING for a bed bug video for a while, I can’t STAND THEM they’re like actually horrible
@@YargGlug my guy you racist or smth
My last apartment complex had a bed bug problem for awhile. They didn't get into my room, but we all shared cockroaches. They were they when i moved in, and even before i owned food, they came in to eat the glue in my moving boxes.
I moved into a room with bedbugs in union city nj, then moved right out. Perfect location that spot was.
Professionals aren't worth the thousands you pay, in fact they usually want to put you on a rotation where they never get rid of them but they get to collect every 3 months for stopping by...but I know the secret to bed bug elimination now!
I’ll never forget having bed bugs. It ruined my mental health and I couldn’t sleep. They take a huge toll in so many different aspects. Glad they’re gone but I never sleep anywhere without checking first anymore
Dealing with these bugs right now!! I was actually startled when i saw the video 🤣🤣🤣. I thought i'd get much easier solutions to deal with them in the video. Calling a professional will cost and leave a smell of chemicals in the house for a long time. wish there were more organic ways of dealing with them
Get some Diatomaceous Earth and wash or wipe everything you think they even might be in. I had to deal with a infestation that took me 2 years and occasionally burning things they made into nest to destroy the monsters. Best of luck in your endeavors and the paranoia will linger with a healthy hatred of them
Hate these things. Once you go through an expierence with them... never again. They really prey on your psyche
if anyone needs to hear it:
it’s okay to be traumatized by an infestation in your home. it’s terrifying and can definitely leave you with ptsd.
none of y’all are alone and i hope everyone who’s had to deal with an infestation of any kind (especially bed bugs) are doing well emotionally 💖
i’m very lucky to have never had a bed bug infestation, but i did have wasp, fly, flea, and ant infestations (at separate times. i lived in some janky places as a kid).
it’s left me with permanent mental scars. it contributed to me developing psychosis and one of my delusions/hallucinations is that i have another infestation. luckily i’m doing better since i’m on meds and got to see a therapist. but it really messes with your mind
@@graymonk5972 I'm doing quite alright, mentally, for someone who very recently dealt with infestations of both bedbugs and cockroaches. I hate those things, though!
I don’t know where they came from, but my daughter and I had a wicked infestation about 6 years ago.
Ruined everything. Books, a beautiful daybed, clothing, leather purses, EVERYTHING.
I just wanted to set the whole damn house on fire.
These things are from hell, no doubt about it.
We took everything to the dump, baked the place with the heater on, for days, and did our level best to make life as hellish for them, as they’d made life for us.
We got rid of them.
But we also got rid of at least 50% of our belongings. Some stuff that wasn’t too badly infected, we put into plastic bags and stored for 6 months. That will usually starve them out.
But that was only for certain items. We put them in storage, and took them out after the time expired.
Seriously, watch out for these little bastards.
I’m pretty sure we got them from a hotel in Sacramento. I saw a bug on the pillow, took it to the manager, and they just shook their head like “I dunno”.
Some episodes on extinct animals would be nice - particularly if you discuss how an artist makes decisions about how to portray an animal (or plant) that they've never actually seen. (and how those portrayals have changed over time.) This is such a truly cool channel. Among my favorites.
In regards to bedbugs, I am very glad to live in Germany. I have never encountered any cases of bedbugs here, even in the hotels I have stayed in. Perhaps we arrange our homes differently, or the climatic conditions may not be suitable, I don't know. However, I have had fleas more often because I have cats that bring them home.
It took me 3 months to kill them by myself and I was suffering the whole time. Just call a professional y'all.
My favorite halloween costume this year was the Paris Bedbugs 😂 "oh là là, baguette, oui oui!"
I hate bed bugs!!! I've encountered them once and it was so bad that I had to trash the living room furniture. I bought a steamer and have mattress covers for all the beds. They are hard to get rid of but not impossible.
had these suckers twice in 3 years. Worst nights of my life. Had to get rid of the bed in the end. Silicate powder and steaming (not simultaneously) did the trick but I still wonder where the heck did they come from in the first place
Public transit. Remove your jacket in the garage and change out of your work clothes in the bathroom. Keep the hamper out of your bedroom
@@orishaeshu1084 none of that will work for me
I had the start of two infestations, luckily once I saw the first one I lost the ability to sleep until I had found their nest and took it out with chemicals
7:16 I mean, aren't we all just giant blood-filled water balloons, at the end of the day
That noone found something harmless to humans we can have in our blodstream thats lethal to bedbugs
Nice to see Jess Keating again. I liked her hosting second nature episodes and wondered what happened to her.
I've had a minor bed bug infestation gotten from a friend's place that was undergoing major infestation several years ago. Good thing my itches were so bad that i managed to detect the problem early. Got myself isopropyl alcohol & bed bug insecticide & was lucky enough to have been able to deal with the problem myself, getting rid of the infestation within mere days without suffering any ill side effects. I'd even helped that friend deal with his infestation problem, but unfortunately, his was too damn serious to eradicate without professional intervention. All in all, i was lucky enough both to not having suffered psychologically after the ordeal, nor did such problems come back to bite me since. Yet, there's no doubt that i'd go into warring mode again, if i were to find these fuckers around in my place again. If there were to be any animal on the planet that i'd gladly have any higher powers that be drive to extinction, bed bugs would be at the very top of the list.
Bed bugs are indeed the utterly worst
I stayed in a hotel in Alabama. It smelled off, but it was an old hotel, so I didn't think anything of it. Woke up the next morning itching my ass off and there were red spots of blood all over the sheets. I knew nothing about them, so I still had no idea thats what happened....
Well it took a few months before I started getting bites at home. Some people don't even react to the bites so they dont even know they have them until they see one.... I reacted so strongly I got a couple skin infections and had to take antibiotics.
It was so terrifying every night NEEDING to go to sleep but knowing they were waiting for me to go to sleep so they could feed. I got pretty bad insomnia from it. It took many months and a move but I eventually got rid of them 😮💨
I'm digging that 1980s-vibe in Danielle's belt today! 6:37 So cute! And I love the new merch! Been waiting forever for Animalogic's sketches to become available, and I'd love to see a wall calendar too! I used to work for a PR company that handled SC Johnson products like RAID and OFF. We were trained by their company's entomologists about blood meal insects, so creepy! (Pun intended, you're welcome!) Fleas are the hardest of them to completely get rid of. A video about fleas would be interesting. Fleas are attracted to blue light and the color white, like mosquitoes. I don't know why, but I guess maybe because they fed from bioluminescent animals(?) at night before humans were around. File this under stuff you don't expect to learn when in school for marketing.
Beauveria bassiana is like Cordyceps for bedbugs. I can't believe Beauveria bassiana isn't in basically every building by now. It's the solution.
I know im traumatized because I instinctively remembered that god awful scent they emit just from seeing this
We had a bed bug infestation once from secondhand beds never again. I will always buy new they were the most itchiest bite I ever had to bug bomb my whole house
That’s why you always need to check under your bed, matress, especially if it’s wooden, for some signs and black spots. And that reminds me to iron my sheets soon, you never know, maybe it’s helpful as well.
Sometimes I regret eating lunch while watching Animalogic... but given the title, I realize I was asking for it.
I have never found any evidence for bedbugs in my house. I never get secondhand furniture without checking it, and never soft furniture. But there was one, small, dead, unidentified bug I found under my pillow once. It haunts me. I continue to check regularly.
Had a run in with these at a hotel in Nashville. Luckily I caught it, and we did a full ass decontamination procedure when we got home.
This whole episode made me itch
Very lucky to live in arctic Scandinavia. These little buggers are not that well-established her yet fortunately.
My ex had them for like a year, despite 2 extermination attempts. It was far harder on her than me though, since I would not get noticeable bites/itching (she reacted severely to the bites, which led to alot of psychological damage).
I once had Bedbugs and exterminated them myself by first spraying my bed down in poison, vacuuming them a few hours later, spraying the bed again, washing everything on 60°C and then it was done. I also disassambled everything in my sleeping room and looked for any traces or eggs, vaccuumed them and sprayed the places excessively.
The whole thing was a panic reaction and all the spray was most likely not exactly healthy for myself...
I have had them twice, for 7 and 3 years, respectively. Both times, I got rid of them with a simple routine:
1) Change the linens once a week and heat treat the entire bed, down to the floor, and underneath, as well as the baseboards, with a heatgun. This looks like a hairdryer, but can peel paint, so be careful.
2) After the heat treatment, spray some "Ortho Home Defense Max Bedbug, Flea and Tick Killer" as directed, around the entire bed, including the sides of the bed itself.
3) Obtain an Ivermectin prescription from your doctor in the dosage of 1mg Ivermectin per 50lbs of bodyweight per every 5 days. So, a 150lb person would take one 3mg tab every five days. Everyone sleeping in that bed MUST be on this regimen for it to work. This medication is specifically to kill parasites, both internal and external. It is the first medication in one of the internal anti-flea and tick chewables for dogs. At the low dose shown here, there will be no side-effects, unless one happens to be allergic
If EVERYONE in the bed follows these instructions, or sleeps elsewhere, and NOBODY goes near the bed after getting out of it and getting dressed, then this should rid you of bedbugs within two months, give or take a couple weeks. As I said, I have rid myself of them twice now, with a blessed interval of a couple years between infestations. One came from a hotel, the other from visiting a friend who didn't know another friend had brought them to her house.
Bruh, if you had them for 7 and 3 years, you didn't treat them that damn effectively.
@@SluttChops It took me that long the first time to figure out what worked, and then I had to convince my doc to prescribe, and get my husband to go along. When he died, I was finally able to get rid of them the first time. The second time, I had a very hard time getting the doc to prescribe enough for two people, long enough to work. When my current husband had knee surgery, and couldn't sleep in the bed for two months, I was able to be rid of them this time.
I know about living with someone who “can’t see them” or don’t think they are a problem. They can undo all your work! They don’t see any use in treating, and may bring things into your house that have been infested.
I have literally been scratching my head throughout the entire video 😖😫
I had a time when I thought I had bed bugs. I had just been traveling and staying in a hotel. And a nieghbor in an appartment touching mine had just been found to have had bed bugs for probably over a year. It was horrible. The mental toll it's takes and the stress of ridding your home of them. ugh. In my case, it turns out I a pretty sensitive allergy to detergent. When I use a public machine after someone who used a detergent I react to it gives me small clusters of itchy bumps... perfectly mimicking bed bugs... in the meantime, the stress was real.
Got bedbugs through a Doordash order. It's been a little less than a year since I've seen any sign of them but it still has me paranoid.
all of a sudden, I feel itchy.
anyone??
The only animal I downright hate.
You think instead of the "Fly"(as in the movie) we'd have "Bed bugs" is would elicit moar horror dread amongst us all
I remember when the thumbnail said "Beg bug"
You should do a piece on Beauveria bassiana next, an entomopathogenic fungus used for biocontrol of different arthropods, currently for outdoor crops to protect against things like thrips, whiteflies, etc (I ran into it looking up control methods for humpbacked phorid flies in my vermicompost system.
). It’s currently showing positive results in controlling bed bugs indoors.
My stupid ass nephew worked at some shitty motel chain and one day decided to take some covers/sheets for himself. Little did he know they had stowaways. Some of them migrated to my bed and HOLY FUCK I’ve never been so itchy in my life. Woke up nearly everyday with new bumps and felt like I was going crazy cause I would check my bed meticulously and never found any signs of them. Only proof was all the bumps and the fact that one of my hands swelled to about 2x its size
-5/10 would not recommend
13:02- This is why Apple and other mobile phone manufacturers got rid of the headphone jack 😛
Love your videos and artwork!!!
10:23 Bedbugs don't give you physical illnesses. But, they surely disturb you mentally and it's really bad. You just have many sleepless nights and it ruins your efficiency in work/study.
Definitely. Living in poverty with bed bugs is a quick way to go insane
They caused the third worse mental breakdown I ever suffered and that's no easy feat with my mind. We may be thousands of times their size but that's the true horror of them
